I get that SSL for custom hostnames is ****** to support - but security shouldn't be something users have to pay extra for.

While it's great that you provide custom domains for free, making us pay to have our users interact securely really feels gross.

Without it, I'm not really sure what the point of the custom domain. As it is, it's worthless to me (my entire site is on SSL, and browsers don't like switching protocols for subdomains).

So, I propose that SSL support for hostnames is included for all plans. Most of your customers aren't likely to implement it (so no extra cost hit there), and for smaller organizations like mine that need it (but don't need any of the other advanced features), it'd be a huge help.

I made a new idea because you aren't using the Tin, Bronze, Gold, etc. plans anymore. The other ideas mentioning favicon were confusing.

I'm not asking for "Advanced – custom HTML/CSS template" on the Plus plan.

I agree that custom HTML/CSS, along with SSO, multi-language support, file attachments and access controls are features that warrant a significant price increase of $40/month per agent.

However, I think it's reasonable for me to request a custom favicon feature for a Plus plan.

In a time when more and more people use tabs, and some people use a lot of tabs, the favicon can become how your site is recognized while browsing the internet.

My user's should see the same blue square that they see on our website when they come over to our helpdesk and feedback forum.

It really doesn't make sense to offer a custom domain alias without a favicon.

Please add the option to upload a custom favicon (right below the logo upload)!

The complaints you've had in the past with your service costing too much may have been unfair considering you're obviously aiming for customers running a business and who therefor can afford a hundred bucks a month.

So have you considered a personal plan? You know, for the people who aren't going to use your service to make any profit? It's the many casual (and non-profit) web-based communities i have in mind who could use a service as yours but who certainly can't pay that much for it.

The free version hardly cuts it for users of a community as they already are accustomed to everything being integrated, split up into many boards/forums, having multiple moderators and so on. So what i'm trying to tell is that you have a large amount of customer types that you're losing out on since you're only catering to the businesses.
