  Great idea. For our businesses status options when closing off as completed such as "Already Suggested", "Implemented", etc. would be beneficial.

  Is there a reason why custom statuses are truncated to 20 characters when you can enter more on creation? I would want it to be capped at 20 chars or expanded to 30 chars to provide descriptions to my statuses.

  The most important one for me is a way of closing a case without declining or saying it's completed. something like 'Already possible' would be good to mark ideas people post that already exist in the product. Also just marking it as 'Closed' and allowing the admin to give the reason in the status update would be useful.

  Likewise, a status to mark that the case has been read by an admin and allowed to stay open for voting, but without being forced to say it's under review, planned or accepted. something like 'Open for voting'

  The best solution would be to allow custom status titles and set what actions are performed on each idea when each status is chosen.

  We are using uservoice for community consultation. More suitable status options would be: accepted, considered, responded to, included. Would also change idea to 'comment or input'

  We would certainly be interested in the ability to customise our own statuses, these statuses are likely to be unique to each organisation as the comments show. A generic one fits all isn't going to accomodate everyones requirements.

  @Angelo, this is definitely something we are considering, but because each of our current statuses are tied to specific core logic we cannot simply allow anyone to customize/add/remove them without having pulled statuses out of this core logic and into a more flexible system.

  I'd like an "unlikely" status so that users can continue to vote up an idea, but know that we've already considered it and aren't very favorable to implementing it.

  We have a very common request, but that we simply don't plan on building despite the popularity. As of now, I'm afraid to set it as "declined" as I'm assuming it would disappear from the forum, only to be added anew by the next commenter (is that how it works, or would the declined idea show up in the search results when a user is submitting a new idea?).

  @Angelo, this is definitely something on our radar. It certainly is "easy" to give people control to add more things, but there's a lot more under the surface at work with statuses. Getting it "right" takes just a little longer.

  Being able to customize the statuses that a company (like us) can choose to display to the user seems pretty easy to implement. Is there an update on this? Frequently we have to close things as "completed" when really we want to say "Already Possible" or something like this...

  I do agree - I think a Closed status would be great - we certainly get many "non" ideas, and need a different bucket for them - thanks

  I agree with Sergei. We would like (have an option) to keep 'completed' suggestions visible on the widget.
