I suggest you…

Develop a mobile/iPhone-optimized site

A version of your site that works on mobiles. It wouldn't need to support full functionality but it would allow your site to integrate with mobile portal and websites.

    Hey folks,

We’ve done and will continue to do work on making the front-end of UserVoice mobile-friendly. However, I know that some of you are asking for a mobile-friendly Admin Console. We’d obviously like to do both, but it will help us prioritize if those who are interested in the mobile-friendly Admin Console could vote for this idea: http://feedback.uservoice.com/forums/1-general-feedback/suggestions/2623123-make-admin-console-mobile-optimized-or-build-a-mob

    Thanks!

        Hi Evan,

@Matt Brown spoke about this problem briefly, but we're still having trouble with the UserVoice Channel widget not scrolling on mobile. Basically we would need the little "feedback" button to follow along with finger screen touch.

It doesn't seem to be doing this well, or at all. Are we doing something wrong? Or was it never written to handle on-touch-event?

Use JqueryMobile for your mobile site - support for the vast majority of all modern desktop, smartphone, tablet, and e-reader platforms.
        or
Sencha Touch if you need more animated application and oriented only to IPhone - Android

We're looking for a way to access our UV admin panel (both helpdesk and feedback) via a mobile browser. Sure, a mobile optimized version of the admin panel would be ideal. But in the meantime, I'd simply settle for being able to access the admin panel via a mobile browser.

The basic need is to be able to respond to user help tickets from a tablet or mobile phone. The current site simply won't work in mobile safari (I'm trying via an iPad and iPhone, so I'm not sure if folks who use an android browser have the same difficulty). Basic functions such as panning the page and scrolling are buggy to the point of being unusable.

To be clear, I'm not looking for the ability to embed your SDK in a mobile product (the product we support with UserVoice is traditional desktop software). Rather, I'm simply looking for a way to access our admin interface via a mobile device.

I would love to see an HTML5 widget that was mobile friendly. iOS integration looks nice, but doesn't help at all with other platforms or mobile web apps.

        Hey Ville,

We still haven't launched a mobile-optimized site, though it's very much something that we want to do. However, we have launched an iOS SDK so that iPhone apps can build UserVoice integration into their app, and our new site is fairly user-friendly on mobile devices. Do we still want to build a mobile-optimized site? Absolutely. Hopefully soon.

Do you have anything that works for Android? The current message submission lightbox fits really badly in an Android web browser.

We are developing a mobile web app and would love to be able to get user feedback directly in the app. The iOS SDK doesn't help us.

As most have said, a mobile-optimized version of Uservoice would be great to have. It's great that you have an API to allow for integration, but not everyone is in a position to do that. A mobile site would help activate users across the lowest common denominator.

@RichardWhite: Just to make shure: The iOS SDK is a great idea. But what I am hoping for with this idea is a mobile-ready user-voice-UI for browsing and working with ideas (frontend- + backend-feature).
And please dont make it an native iPhone-App, that will just cost you money. Optimize the UI for mobile with HTML+JS+CSS instead.
        Thanks

We're developing a cross-platform service (iOS app, Android app, mobile web, Flash application). Having a mobile web version would dramatically extend the use of our uservoice forums as well as having a coherent UI.

You never know at what moment and in what place someone gets an idea,... question is: how to capture this idea? Answer: On a mobile App of uservoice!

Yep, a simple one-column layout for mobile (the right-hand pane is not that useful anyway) could be done *very* quickly and would considerably improve the user experience on smartphones (99% of my users access my forums via their Android phone)
