I’m going to decline this since there doesn’t seem to be a lot of interest in it. I think comments are the place for people to challenge a decision (you can comment after an idea has been closed).

There are a lot of great ideas in this thread, but they don’t necessarily go together. I am going to decline this idea, but I’m opening two new ones based on the comments in this thread.
Show Declined Ideas on User Profile (http://feedback.uservoice.com/forums/1-product-feedback/suggestions/956963-show-declined-ideas-on-user-profile) – This absolutely makes sense and is easy to do. We plan on doing it.
Add “Declined Ideas” tab (http://feedback.uservoice.com/forums/1-product-feedback/suggestions/956961-add-declined-ideas-tab) – This certainly has value but is a little more controversial (some companies may not want these highlighted). Before we tackle this idea I’d like to see how many people want this specific feature and see some discussion about whether it is optional or not.

We’ve updated our merge feature so that votes and comments are properly merged as well (if a user voted on both ideas, any votes in excess of 3 are returned to the user).
We’re not planning on creating a new “master idea”, however. Admins can edit an idea’s title and description if necessary.

This would be very helpful for us. We ultimately are developing 2 or 3 queues of ideas based off of our forums that feed into different development queues internally. It would be great to tag the different ideas between the forums to which queue they are going into (quick fix, long term planned dev, etc)
Heh- I just realized I posted this a while back but as an anonymous user and wondering what happened to this idea. Anyway, still feel free to let me know any questions. Would love to see this and is a hindrance to us scaling this out to our entire company.
