We’ve had success with customers very big and very small using private forums plus SSO (and optionally SSL) to do just what you’re asking. http://uservoice.com/for

ALso I think I may have found a bug in UV, somehow, my last comment posted twice. I think that might have happened when I refreshed after posting it, though I'm not sure.

I use like most people here UserVoice to get ideas from my customers, but my company does develop some software, It could be advantageous for use to use UV to track bugs as well, add a "Bugs" forum, give unlimited votes and if you experience a problem listed, add your vote to get more attention to it.
Thats just 1 example of how UserVoice could be used if it were possible to change vote limits.

Over the last year we’ve transitioned to a “per seat” (admin) based pricing structure. At this time, we have no plans to add any per-feature pricing.
In addition to our Feedback product, we’ve recently made the Basic plan for our Helpdesk and Full Service products FREE. :)

We’ve read your comments and discussed this intensively internally, and we’ve ultimately decided against allowing negative votes. Negative votes allow good ideas to be buried for political bias, they potentially leave forums empty, and they damage the vote economy. Check out an in-depth explanation at: http://blog.uservoice.com/2010/07/28/declining-negative-votes/

@admin I personally think it is closed minded of you to just assume that you know better than us. We are the ones using the product and each one of us proably has something unique about our useage. Clearly a group of users think this feature would be beneficial to them. I would agree though in saying its not beneficial to all users.
I think IMHO that the best option would be to offer negative votes as an option the admin of each forum can turn on or off, it being off by default.
Just my 2 cents.

This is a loaded topic for sure.
For some, this would be perfect, for others they don't need it or it would do more harm than good, it all depends on the specifics of their site, so I say you should impliment the feature but the admin has to turn it on for their UV site if they want it.

This is already possible. Go to your admin interface and click on admin. Just invite a user as admin and set him as Owner.
