Sortable search results If you search in a forum in the admin console, you can't sort the results. The system will display them in the order of relevance.
However, if you are searching and pulling up a long list of ideas, you need to be able to sort those results by supporters, or created at so you can find the relevant ideas you're looking for.

Now, when working with the suggestions grid in the admin console, admins have ability to sort search results by any of the sortable columns. Check it out!

Update idea information (status, state, title) in the idea grid without refresh If you click on a suggestion and do the following:
Change status
Delete, move, mark as spam
Change the title or descriptionAfter you save, the grid will not update the suggestion until you refresh.

Last week we released an update to our admin console Idea Grid. Along with these updates you will find that changes made to an idea from the detail sheet are dynamically added to the grid without a refresh. This includes updates to Idea titles, Descriptions, Public/Internal Statuses, Forums, Categories, and labels. Check it out!

Search field in merge window is tiny I like the new merge experience, but the search field is just teeny-tiny! Many times I have to perform multiple searches for duplicates and will change some of the terms used each time. It's annoying to do this in such a small field.

Pull in Locale and Region Information into Analytics Not only would this information to be able helpful to identify ideas that are popular in a certain regions, but also help identify issues that are being reported through the HelpDesk product. This also would be beneficial in correlation to NPS.

Filter and display ideas with specific activity during a time range When looking at ideas, it would be good to choose a date range, and have the displayed ideas filter to show only those that had activity in that range.

Last week we released an update to our admin console Idea Grid. One of the new features you have available to you is the ability to track new ideas, new votes, new comments, and new importance ratings per idea for a specific time frame. We've defaulted the idea grid to 30 days to make it easier for you to see these insights when first coming to the grid. This feature isn't supported for "All Time" but you can use our predefined 30, 90, and 365 day options to see this activity. This feature is also supported when using our Custom Date Range builder. Create Features that can contain multiple suggestions Currently, we can only have suggestions which do not map 1:1 to features that are being built. Add a feature section where suggestions can be tied to features.

Respect Search Operators (And, Or, Quotes, + and -) It's very frustrating to put in two search words and have ideas come up with only one of the terms before ideas that have both terms.
For example, if I searched for "Morning Commute" I'll get results that only have "Morning" before results that have both "Morning" and "Commute". Or if I want to find only "Evening Commute" results, I'd like to be able to exclude results that have the word "Morning".
This is a large problem when many of our ideas involve phrases where one word is extremely common, and the other word is used in multiple concepts. Being…

We’ve recently made some improvement to search in our admin console to enable operators.
Here’s what that looks like…
Using the plus ( + ) sign enables AND.
The vertical bar ( | ) enables OR.
Using the minus ( – ) sign enables you to exclude terms.
Using quotes ( "" ) enables exact phrase matching.

Return helpful error when idea created via sidebar has too long of a title There is a character restriction on idea titles. When you create an idea with too long of a title in the sidebar, we return an error, but it isn't clear why: https://cl.ly/43280f0B231b
This error should say something about the character limit.

Internal Roadmap We believe that Roadmaps are a strategic communication tool. Providing more internal visibility into the product roadmap and linking features on your roadmap to relevant feedback, you will drive more alignment and buy-in on product direction.

View content of messages sent to subscribers After I send a message to subscribers, I am unable to see the content of the message I sent them to refer back to. I like using the UserVoice interface to do this to get analytics, however when following up I am disappointed that I cannot refer back to the text of my message.

You will now see the message you sent on the idea detail page, and when users write back, their responses will be saved in UserVoice.

Admin Analytics Dashboard should allow filtering to specific Forums Right now the analytics dashboard shows data across all forums. It would be ideal to be able to filter this to get stats for each individual forum and be able to export reports on the customer activity (suggestions, votes, comments) for a set time period only within an individual forum.

While we don’t have this for the Dashboard view, you can filter and export data by forum in the Activity and Moderation tab on your account.
Click the lightbulb icon on the left → Click “All Open Suggestions” → Choose the forums you wan to view → Then click the “Activity and Moderation Tab.”
You can manage and export the activity for the forums you select, and even set a date range.

Contributor Sidebar Stats included in Interactions Breakdown admin reports page should include the Contributor Sidebar in the breakdown of how people are interacting with our account (in addition to web portal, widget, mobile sdks)

In System Admin view, allow users to filter or search by voter or submitter user account We are often trying to locate a full list of all the items that a user has voted or submitted. The view in the user management console is very cumbersome, so we would like to be able to filter in the idea management view by user.

We have made multiple updates to the user’s page when it comes to viewing a user’s profile and quickly seeing their activity and a list of the ideas they support.

If you click the suggestions tab, you can also export the list of suggestions they have supported.

Bulk merge multiple ideas Select and merge multiple duplicate ideas at the same time.

Email request submitter when an idea's status changes A customer-facing employee has used the sidebar to capture a request for a customer. That employee would like to know when that idea's status changes. Then the employee can reach out to the customer to give them an update. Also, it let's the employee know that the feedback they submit is being heard and responded to. Perhaps send a daily summary email that would sum up status changes to all the ideas that the employee has recorded requests for - including the before and after status, forum, category, suggestion name and a link, the list of customers that they personally…

How does it work?
1) You enter a customer’s feedback and connect it to an idea in UserVoice. (You might do this through the Contributor Sidebar or Zendesk app, or in the admin console with ‘capture feedback’, ‘add supporter’, or ‘link this ticket to an idea’)
2) A UserVoice admin posts a status update for the idea.

Add more "No customer activity" filters Please add the following filters to the Suggestions Customer Activity filter:
-No customer activity in the last 30 days
-No customer activity in the last 60 daysOr something similar. 90 days is very useful, but we have too many incoming ideas, would like to clean it out more aggressively using this filter.

Flag/highlight ideas that may need to be merged New ideas come in all the time, and it can be hard to go and check them all for ideas that need to be merged. Adding a report that highlights or flags ideas that might be duplicates (so admins can double check) would help keep these duplicate ideas from slipping through the cracks.
17 votesLast week we released Merge Matches! 🚀 Merge Matches is a new way to automatically identify which ideas are similar to one another, giving you the option to merge them together to help reduce the number of duplicate ideas. You can access this feature directly from the Idea Grid.

On the web portal, add an extra confirmation step to "flag as inappropriate" links Currently, it is very easy to accidentally click the "flag as inappropriate" link next to ideas in a list (I have already accidentally done this). It would be nice if there was an extra confirmation (a popup box or something) to confirm that this was the intended action.

To prevent the accidental reporting of an idea as inappropriate, we've included a confirmation step that must be completed in order to report ideas.

Segment idea stats for specific date ranges Instead of just showing all-time stats for ideas, be able to display stats for ideas for a particular date range.
For example, which ideas gained the most support in the last 90 days? How much feedback have we received in the past week, and what was that feedback? Which product areas received the most feedback last month?
10 votesOur recent Idea Insights release helps answer many of these questions. For more granular date filtering, you can filter the Idea Grid for ideas with the most votes over a specified period of time.
