Voter demographics (who is voting?) Some customers are bigger revenue-drivers for us. Consequently their feedback is more valuable to us. It should be possible to organize customers into voting classes or groups, so that, for example, "Revenue 500" customers' votes carry more weight when the votes are counted. The weight factor should only be visisible to UserVoice administrators of course.

Allow admins to split ideas Provide the ability for admins to take an idea that was submitted and split it into two.
The reason is because sometimes someone posts an idea that consists of two aspects, that to us, are two different ideas. Lets say we already have one feature they ask for but not another, we cannot assign the statuses to the requests properly.
When splitting, just let us pick what description text and title to put in the new ticket. I realize splitting will cost the voter more votes, but if the workaround to avoid that is let us close one of the…56 votes👋🏻 Hi Everyone -
You can now split ideas in the UserVoice admin interface. From any idea detail sheet, click the 3 dot menu at the upper right and select "Split Idea." You can also split an idea from the activity feed.
We'll create a new idea for you (you can edit the title and description of the idea) and bring over the supporters from the existing idea along with the other relevant fields.
This is really useful for:
- Taking a large idea and breaking it apart so that you can track 2 ideas separately
- If you've partially completed an open idea, create a new idea with the remaining work and close the original idea. This will let you know if the remaining functionality is nice to have or truly necessary.
As always, let us know if you need a hand with anything!

Moderation settings should be applied at the forum level I love the addition of moderation to Uservoice...if you have multiple forums, you may need different moderation needs per forum, so I think they should be applied at the forum level and not at the total accout level
130 votesHello!
You no longer have to apply moderation settings uniformly across all your forums. You now have the flexibility to moderate new ideas and comments in specific forums of your choosing. More here.
Thanks for this feedback.

Automatically translate feedback (ideas/comments) to create multilingual forums Instead of creating separate forums for each language, automatically translate feedback (suggestions and comments) into each user’s own language. This would help prevent duplicate suggestions across different forums.
85 votesThis functionality is now generally available. Please contact your UserVoice contact or support@UserVoice.com for pricing information and to have this added to your account.

Allow admins to edit and customize feedback-related email templates Allow admins to customize email templates for (some? all?) emails.
201 votesWe recently updated the look and feel of all feedback-related email templates. You can now add your brand’s colors and logo to emails sent to your customers. Learn more using the article link below. If you’re interested in changing the content within an email, we have another idea where you can add your support which is listed below.

Export users associated with votes/ideas Yes, you can now export at the user level as well as the idea level and forum level... but what we need is a way to get an export of the ideas/votes along with WHO voted for them or created the idea.
So I want to either be able to see the folks who created the idea and voted on it when I export the ideas, or when I export the users, be able to see what they suggested or voted on.
Right now there is NO WAY that I can see to associate these (other than going into each…

allow admins to unmerge ideas I merged two ideas by mistake, and there's now no way to unmerge them. An "unmerge" button next to merged ideas would be very helpful.

Add option to turn on users' RECEIVE COMMENT UPDATES setting by default In order to build up critical mass to where our UserVoice forum is really useful, it's important for our users to know that others are reading/commenting on their suggestions (otherwise they'll jsut stop making suggestions).
Setting the RECEIVE COMMENT UPDATE on by default would really help build this critical mass.
Yes, some people would object to the extra emails but in a small forum it wouldn't be too bad (and the users always have the ability to turn it off easily)
33 votesYour end-users can opt-in/out of comment notifications in their profile settings. By default they are opted-out. However, a UserVoice admin can change this default behavior in “Settings – Feedback Forums – Enable comment notifications by default”. If this setting is enabled by an admin, any new end-users will be automatically opted-in to comment notifications.

Allow users to edit their own ideas and comments As long as no one has voted/commented on my newly-created suggestion yet, I should be able to...
(1) change the title/description without restriction... if, say, 5 minutes later I think of a better one or spot a typo in it or whatever...
(2) completely delete it, no questions asked, if, say, I realize right after posting it that it was lame, or I find out it's a duplicate or whatever...
248 votesGreetings from UserVoice,
A couple weeks ago we released a feature that allowed end users to edit their own comments.
Now, they can also edit suggestions they create on the web portal.
Thank you all for the feedback.

Rich-text formatting for idea descriptions Currently there's no way to even mark a word as bold or italic. Well, I guess you could make it ALL-CAPS (lame) or put something around it, but somehow both of those just seem somehow kludgey... I hate gratuitous colors and font-size changes as much as the next guy, but SOME formatting actually helps communicate better. How about adding support for at least some very simple markup like Markdown or Textile...?
99 votesHey All,
You can now use markdown when writing Idea descriptions.
For example, bold, italics, or – for unordered lists.
Give it a try. Let us know what you think.

New Idea Grid: Add "Select All" Option for filter values Having a "Select All" option will make managing filters a large number of options easier to work with.
0 votesHello!
We've brought Select All back to idea grid filters like Labels and Forum/Category.
Thanks again for this feedback.

Option to change where the contributor sidebar appears Option to have the sidebar appear on the left side of the browser.
1 voteGreat news, there's now an official UserVoice Feedback Capture Extension! This extension will replace the sidebar for feedback capture functionality.
The extension, unlike the sidebar, does not overlay the content of the screen, and you can use the natively supported browser functionality to resize it as you like.
You can install it from the Chrome extension marketplace, and we'd love your feedback!

Show My Requests In the contributor allow the sidebar user to see a list of all of their current requests.
1 voteHello there,
As your customer facing teams’ new home for feedback, we’re excited to get your thoughts on how the new Contributor Console helps with this need.
In particular, the “My Activity” feed enables team members to see all feedback they’ve captured and the customers they’ve captured in on behalf of.

Show which Forum an idea was posted in the Slack Integration Customers with multiple forums using the Slack integration, want to see which forum the idea was posted to when it's pushed to Slack.
This way they can see at a glance, where users are posting and don't have to click out each time.
1 voteHey there,
Take a look at the attached image for a quick example of how the UserVoice to Slack integration provides the context of what Forum and Category and Idea was posted in.
Thanks.

API v2 endpoint for adding supporters to a suggestion There is and endpoint for adding a request in v2, but that requires qualitative feedback which is different than the v1 endpoint for voting: https://developer.uservoice.com/docs/api/reference/#_api_v1_forums_forum_id_suggestions_suggestion_id_votes_post
There is no way to support a suggestion (without adding a request) in v2 of the API.
2 votesWe have added an API V2 endpoint for adding a supporter to a suggestion. You can learn more about it here: https://developer.uservoice.com/docs/api/v2/reference/#/suggestions_14

drag and drop features Have the ability to drag and drop features for their ranking

Sidebar push parent page content over When capturing feedback on a page, the Sidebar at times covers up relevant content. would be ideal if it pushed the parent page content over, or wrapped to the sidebar.
1 voteThe new UserVoice Feedback Capture Chrome Extension behaves in the manner described here... instead of overlaying page content, the content slides out of the way, leaving full access to the screen.
