Support Private forums in SmartVote
Right now SmartVote only works with public forums, but it would be great if you also added support for private forums. We may want to keep forums private, but still use the awesome SmartVote feature with our users.
We’re constantly exploring ways to improve the UserVoice experience for our users. This often means viewing existing functionality with a critical eye and rethinking parts of the product which do not meet the high standards we’ve set.
As a result, we have decided to remove the SmartVote functionality, effective Dec 13, 2019. If you have any questions, please contact us at email@example.com.

this would be an amazing feature where you have multiple types and needs of stakeholders internally (potentially with competing priorities) to assist the granularity of needs to push into roadmap.......indispensible!

With the standard suggestion of using 1 vote per person with unlimited voting vs. up to 3 and a total limit of XX supported the concept of the smartvote to get better stack ranking, especially in environments where the volume of supporters is small or limited. With the deployment of private forums, the need for smartvote / stack ranking increases greatly due to the nature of a smaller user base interacting with the forum. I realize the authentication piece is potentially complicated, we would have great value in using it in our private/intranet portals to gather key insights to what ideas are really needing focus.
Maybe a private email link can be sent to supporters of a selected group of ideas and the link authenticates them and allows for the smart voting event to occur?
I'll beta whatever :)
