Capture Feedback from Support, Sales or End Users

Sometimes you get feedback from users via other channels like social media, a phone call or support conversation. There are two ways you can add them as supporters to an idea in the admin console. You can add a supporter directly to an idea, or you can use the "capture feedback" button.

Add a Supporter to an Idea
  • Click the feedback icon (lightbulb) in the left hand menu
  • Click "All open suggestions"
  • Click the forum filter and select the forum you want
  • When you find the idea you want to add the supporter to, click the "three dots" icon to the right of the idea
  • Choose "Add supporter" in the drop down menu

You'll be prompted to enter...
  • Their name or email address
  • Why they want this (this feedback is private and only admins can see it)
  • Where the feedback came from (you're required to enter a url)
  • You can also choose whether or not the user is subscribed to email updates on the idea
Quick FAQ:
  • If the forum is private, and the user does not have access to that forum, you can still subscribe them. They will get the status updates on that idea, but the email won't contain any links back to the forum.

"Capture Feedback" Button

  • Click the "plus sign" in the lower left hand corner of the admin console

You'll be prompted to enter...
  • The source's name or email address
  • Why they want this (this feedback is private and only admins can see it)
  • Where the feedback came from (you're required to enter either the feedback itself or the url)
  • Select a related idea, this will be the idea you are adding support to
  • You can also choose whether or not the user is subscribed to email updates on the idea
