      • Make more tutorial videos for newbies learning Uservoice

        I'm new to Uservoice, and would love to watch more of those great screencapture videos you made for the UV homepage. There seems to be no way to learn UV effectively other than diving in trial-and-error style.

        • FAQ page for feedback site, but not a helpdesk

          If I only want a Feedback site and not a Helpdesk site, I still need a page to explain to people what the site is for, where I can answer questions I know they will want to ask, as seen on http://mystarbucksidea.force.com/ideafaq I don't want to create a helpdesk, I simply need an 'about' or 'faq' page for my feedback site.

                Definitely on our to-do list to provide this information somewhere. FYI our widget and public site are 508 compliant, and our Admin Console should mostly be 508 complaint.

                  Have a short video on your home page that explains your product and its benefits. Your tour is not particularly helpful. I would also like to be able to see more live examples of your clients solutions.

                    Thanks for the feedback! We’re definitely working on some videos. Can I ask if you noticed the quotes on the side of the tour? Those link to actual pages…I’m wondering if we need to make those more obvious.

                  • Explain more to new Admins

                    I am an experienced web user and I have been a programmer/analyst, tech support, and tech editor, and I am having trouble figuring out:
                    - how to get back and forth from Admin Console to viewing the forum as a user (finally hovered on the icon unintuitively placed next to "State: Open" (why?)
                    - what the heck "Hot" means and how any of the Sort Order choices work since no votes were cast
                    - how to select ideas to be "watched" (Notifications says I'm watching one idea, but I don't remember selecting that and can't find any info on how… more

                        The information at http://developer.uservoice.com/docs/feedback-tab-installation is outdated and for the most part completely incorrect. The js file mentioned here is definitely not the same as the one created by the setup instructions in the admin.

                        The popin/widget link example is wrong. Most of the useful options have changed names. After digging around a little in the generated file I was able to figure out what options to set to get the results I wanted, but nobody should have to do that.
