General Feedback
How can we make the UserVoice platform better?
-
Allow admins to edit feedback-related email templates
Allow admins to customize email templates for (some? all?) emails.

Email notifications for ideas currently add your site logo and background color. You can also change the invitation text when inviting users to your forums.

to make the URLs in the emails tiny for non-html users
I suggest to make the URLs in the emails tiny for non-html users. I'm using a non-html capable mail client (and possibly many other users too) and the links in the email are so long that I'm unable to copy&paste them into my browser.

Add separate email for invoices
I'd like to be able to add a separate email address for invoices. Currently I have to forward the invoice emails to our finance people to reconcile the credit card, and would prefer just to have those invoices sent directly to them rather than my inbox as the Admin.

Allow users to set frequency of email notifications
Users should be able to select how often they want to receive emails regarding updates on questions they have submitted or questions they have commented on (or subscribed to). This could range from summaries once a day - once a week OR an email every time someone comments/replies to a suggestion you are subscribed to. This is useful when the questions being submitted need to be answered sooner than later.

Put the forum in the email subject to allow filtering, don't mix emails from different forums
At the moment it is difficult/impossible to filter mails from uservoice into different folders. We have a forum per product and a team per product, and we are getting each other's emails.
Put the forum in the subject (or a header), and don't mix updates from different forums in the same message.

Putting both the account/subdomain and forum in the subject of emails gets a bit lengthy, but we do feel there should be an easy way for users to filter messages coming into their inbox.
However, I don’t know that we would send separate digest emails for each forum. (Maybe format the email so ideas in different forums are grouped together?)

Send Users Notification of New Ideas
I see an option in the settings for Admin accounts to receive email notifications for new notes and a daily digest, but no way for a non-admin user to receive the same notifications.
My company would like to utilize UserVoice to move discussions out of email and increase the visibility of discussions beyond those included in the "To" or "CC" lines. Being able to subscribe to new ideas or a forum would allow these discussions to take place closer to real time. Having to monitor the forum for new ideas takes away from productivity.
Has this feature been given any… more

Customize the agent name on the auto-response
When you reply to a ticket, your replie name is always "Support Request". You should be able to change this to something more personal to your company e.g. Your Company Support
17 votesThank you all for your awesome feedback!
We’ve made one stride towards completing this: any auto-replies will now come have your company’s name in the from field, instead of “Support Request”.
That said, we know you want even more customization, and at some point we will be allowing to you to, as previously suggested, set a specific “from” name for all addresses in your system. I’ll give you an update when we get that feature moving.
Let me know if you run into any issues with the auto-response change!

allow the admin to be included as BCC to every e-mail replies sent
I don't receive mails when I make a reply directly on uservoice. If I could receive replies, my e-mail client could group both the requests of the user and my answers on the same thread.

Make email notifications for private forum invites optional
When someone is invited to multiple private forums on one account it sucks to get a bunch of invitation emails. If we made private forum invites work by recognizing an account with that email vs requiring them clicking a link in the email, you could:
1. Give an email address access quietly in the background
2. When arrived at that forum (or another on the account) using that email, give them access9 votes -
option to keep ticket open after responding by email
I'd like to have a setting so that I can choose NOT to have tickets I respond to by email be closed automatically. Often I like to reply quickly to acknowledge receipt of the issue - and then follow up later with resolution - but that requires finding and reopening the ticket.

include direct e-mail replies from support in the ticket thread
When I receive the email notification that a new ticket has been opened and that I reply to this mail, my mail never gets included in the uservoice interface.
I would like to track all mails exchanged on a ticket in the uservoice interface.6 votes -
Offer a link with Trinicom
I'd like to see an option to link with trinicom.
I have a problem; i'd like to forward all messages to Trinicom, but when the messages are forwarded, trinicom selects the email adres of which the mail was forwarded (tickets@XXXX.uservoice.com) as the sender's email adres.
The email adres of the original sender is being filtered out in Trinicom because it is forwarded in a table. Therefore the email adres of the original sender is not available in Trinicom.

Allow us to unsubscribe from notifications for individual ideas
We users don't seem to have the ability to unsubscribe from email notifications on a per-idea basis. This is a common feature of, say, web forums. It's necessary - I'm being spammed with emails from one popular idea on which everyone is commenting, over 20 per day. I don't want to receive these, but I don't want to disable my overall setting for comment notifications. I do still want to receive them from other, low-traffic ideas.

Enable email notifications per default for users on private forums
I have mentioned this before to your support but it is not in the feedback here so here it goes. We are using Private Forums and invite customers to try our software. Usually it is not technical savvy users. Even though we have instructed them to enable Email notifications so they get notified when we reply to their feedback they do not do it which means the feedback get's lost or we have to write email to them (which kind of ruins the whole idea with uservoice) and tell them that we have written to them.
I would suggest that… more

Display forum and category on comment notification
New comment notifications do not display which forum/category the idea was posted in.

Make the ticket email font customizable
The email that customers receive sometimes the font looks small. It also looks like a strange font to use in a ticket too. We'd like to be able to change it.

Weekly digest - Daily is too often
A daily digest is too often for me. I would like to go through new ideas once a week.

Default from email should match custom domain
Ideally when you add a custom domain, the default from email mirrors it.

create email triggers based on keywords
Would love to have certain keywords in a suggestion trigger an email immediately, as opposed to either an email for every suggestion, or one email at the end of the day.
1 voteHey Doug – just to clarify, are you talking about emails to Admins?

Provide the ability to send notification emails to all forum users
It would be great if I could send an email to a group of forum participants.. more like a Newsgroup functionality that would replace using Google Groups.
Use case: We are in private beta and are using the Feedback Forum to get insight into customer ideas for features. When we release new iterations of our service we email everyone to let them know about it.
One way to implement that could be to offer integration with one of the mass email platforms such as SendGrid, etc.
1 voteI’ll leave this idea open because it’s a specific request, but just FYI here’s two ways you can do this:
1. While viewing an idea in the Admin Console, click the gear icon and choose “Send message to subscribers” to email everyone who’s voted/commented on an idea.
2. To contact everyone on a forum, go to the forum view, click the Users tab, and choose “Export to Excel”. The export will contain all addresses.
That said, I’m quite interested to see how many folks would like some sort of mailing list integration!
