  1. Simplify admin login form (/admin/signin)

    The login page is terrible UX. Why hide the username and password for your most valuable customers? Also why not just place username/pwd fields straight up on the page instead of a dynamic reveal. This confuses me every time.

    Hi everyone! We recently rolled out improvements to our admin sign- in page (/admin/signin).

    Those updates include:

    -No more disappearing password field if an incorrect email is entered.

    -If incorrect credentials are entered, we will give the standard message “incorrect email and/or password was entered.”

    -Works with password management utilities.

  2. Accessibility concerns: form inputs

    UserVoice uses the following markup pattern for its user idea inputs:

    <label>
        <span class="uvFieldPlaceholder">Label text</span>
        <input>
    </label>
    

    …which looks good at first glance until it becomes apparent that as soon as one starts typing in a field, uvFieldPlaceholder is hidden with display:none and is therefore inaccessible.

    Additionally, when editing a previously posted idea, the form <label>s containing the inputs have no text at all.

  3. Do not require sign-in on Contact widget

    With the release of Magic Auth, legacy Contact mode for the the UV widget now requires email authentication before a ticket can be opened. This is not a good experience.

  4. Provide better guidance for using the idea search and create form

    It's unclear that the idea form is an idea submission form and for searching. This could be made clearer by providing better guidance, or splitting the form into two.

  5. Show user's UserVoice activity at the contact, account, and opportunity level in Salesforce

    By having user feedback from UserVoice logged in a field in Salesforce ( SFDC ) they'll be able to run their own custom reporting easier, both in SFDC and third party analytics tools that are already being used with SFDC (like Segment.io)

  6. Allow customization of text on portal site/forums

    Not everyone wants to use words like "Contact Us", "Knowledgebase", or "Feedback" on their UserVoice site - allow customizations of at leas the major titles and buttons on user-facing portal pages.

  7. VSTS Create Work Item Form include Additional Fields from VSTS work item

    I would love to be able to configure the VSTS integration to allow for certain fields such as AREA PATH to be set when a new Bug or Product Backlog Item is created since we have numerous teams under a given project and we don't actually use the root area path of the project. Since we have security at the area path levels, this requires multiple steps to get a work item exposed to the right product team in vsts. Thanks!

  8. Reactions to Public Status Updates

    SUMMARY
    An Admin will be able to enable Reactions to Public Status updates at the time of sending. Recipients of the Status Update email will be able to click a reaction button (thumbs-up or thumbs-down) in the email to give an instant reaction, and then will be able to add optional feedback via a web form. The Reactions will be visible to the Admin in the Status Update details.

    This feature has been developed and we are preparing to launch it. Your subscribers to notifications of Public Status Updates will be able to give you instant reactions. This feedback can help you to validate your product development priorities.

  9. See a user's NPS history, not just the current NPS score

    Would like to see NPS trend (lines) for an individual user both in the Contributor Sidebar as well as in our app (also in salesforce when UserVoice or myself plugs this data in for a contact)

  10. Generice ServiceHooks JSON payloads sent with wrong header.

    Generic Webhook ServiceHooks send JSON, but the Content-Type header is sent as "application/x-www-form-urlencoded" so systems are blocking the payload from getting processed.

  11. Support Password Management Utilities

    With the new UserVoice login screen, a regression was introduced where password management tools (such as the Mac OS X keychain) can no longer be used to automatically fill in the username and password.

    Due to past identify theft issues, I now have a different, random, 20-character password for every single website on the Internet, so allowing the Keychain to automatically fill in password forms is a huge benefit to me since I can't remember any of the 513 passwords stored in my Keychain!

    Hi – we have spent time investigating this and talking with many of you, and have decided to defer from building this for the time being. In our conversations with customers, we came across many different use-cases for custom fields and think we could potentially provide better, native support for some of the common use-cases like “priority” or “impact” rather than attempting to solve several problems with this one feature. We may revisit this idea after providing out-of-box support for the most common use cases.

  13. Allow contributors to capture feedback on the forum (web portal)

    When a support person is viewing a suggestion on the forum website, allow them to quickly add customers to an idea. The suggestion that they are viewing should be automatically selected in the sidebar 'capture request' form.

  14. Reflect Salesforce Contact and Account Deletions in UserVoice

    When Contacts and Accounts are deleted in Salesforce, the data remains in UserVoice. It would be great if the Connector could also process these deletions so that our data remains accurate in UserVoice.

  18. Allow to paste images as attachments directly from buffer

    Many other feedback services and applications allow to paste images directly from the clipboard into the form.
    Github Issue, Slack, Telegram, Discord (basically every messenger now), Obsidina.md forums (basically any of the forums now)...

    This greatly diminishes the effort a user have to make to report anything. Saving a screenshot as a file (which a user actually does not need), uploading it (even with a drag-n-drop) is slow.
