allow negative votes?
sometimes, especially in cases where there's a lot of traffic on a suggestion, allowing someone to vote *against* something might be worthwhile.

Status: under reviewAfter carefully reviewing the statistics, we've decided against allowing negative votes. Negative votes allow good ideas to be buried for political bias, dislike of the submitter, etc. Instead we're going to be building a system into comments that allows for you to provide a dissenting opinion and for others to agree with you. We're current working on a release that's focused on admin tools but this is next up on the agenda.

Be able to vote from within the widget
Don't force people to come to the page to submit a vote. They're on my site, I'd like to keep them there.

return my available votes when idea becomes "planned" or "started"
Once the idea moves to "planned", I should get my votes back. The suggestion was good enough to get planned, so free up my votes for another good suggestion, don't make me wait on whatever the implementation schedule turns out to be...
Status: under reviewOne aspect to consider is that once votes are returned, the voting is closed. Many companies/organizations (ourselves included) might want to indicate that they have 'planned' to act upon the feedback, but are still interested in allowing the community to help set priority for that feedback with their votes. For this reason, we are more likely to return the votes once the feedback has been marked as "started". This is still under review, so we welcome your comments. Make it easier for newer suggestions to rise in popularity
Right now the order in which suggestions are displayed is based solely on how many votes they have ACCUMULATED. Pay-per-use model
It would be great if there was a pay-per-vote pricing model. We will never have anywhere approaching 10,000 users, but wouldn't mind paying something for additional features. Keep up the great work!

Add A "Compliment" Section - Say What's Right About Product
What if a user likes something, such as - "Hey, I love your new logo!" Can there be a place for that? Perhaps on the right sidebar? Also - it should not cost 'Votes' to do so.

Allow us to change "Submit a bug" to "Leave a comment"
I run a blog, not a software app. I don't have bugs. I don't want "submit a bug" to be so prominent in the popup. it won't be relevent to my site or make sense to my readers.
Why not allow us to change the text that is displayed there to something else, utilizing the same functionality?

Ask for email without requiring sign-up for ideas
Currently ides and votes can be anonymous or authenticated requiring sign-in. Can we add a middle ground (like most blog comments) where folks can leave an email and URL but not require a full sign-in? I like traceability -see where ides come from- but work with very non-tech savvy folks in human... more

Use contact form instead of displaying email address.
I dislike simply displaying an email at the bottom of a page to contact for various reasons. Having a standard contact form would help me keep everything organized, and prevent not providing any useful information in a standard email.

Customizable widget
I'd love to change the look and the wording of the blog widget to integrate it in a better way! What about non-English-speaking users? At least the Headline »Top User Suggestions« and the link »Cast your votes« should be customizable.

Include all software features in all paid plans
White labeling should be an option on all paid accounts. I shouldn't have to pay the highest premium to market your company. Take a queue from basecamp.

Reward activity with more votes.
Users could accumulate, possibly controllable by an admin preference, more votes based on how often they comment on suggestions or submit new suggestions. This way active users could be rewarded for their efforts.

Put pictures in ideas
The ability to put pictures in our ideas so we can express them more vividly.

Support per-user vote limits
I would like to reward users with more votes:
- those that are members for sometime
- those that fill in some demographic information (possibly only visible to admins)

Develop a mobile version
A version of your site that works on mobiles. It wouldn't need to support full functionality but it would allow your site to integrate with mobile portal and websites.

custom plan
There should be a way for a user to build a custom plan, so lets say you start with the features of the free plan.
To that i want to add: SSL, Private Forums, and Domain Aliasing. I could do that, and if possible make it something I can easily do and see the price of online and be setup with the same day.
