  1. Add custom questions for users to fill out when creating an idea

    When a user goes to create an idea, they only have to give a title. Often Product Teams want to ask their users for additional details and be able to make these fields required.

    This allows Product Managers to get the full details they need from users when they post an idea, and limits them needing to follow up for more information.

    Hey there! 👋

    This week we released Custom Fields on ideas for internal use. This solves a problem for much of the feedback we received on this idea, but not all of it. We will keep this idea open for additional feedback and votes, but for those who were requesting better ways to organize ideas internally, we hope you enjoy our new release!   2. Provide the ability to display the ID of the Suggestion in the forum with the suggestion

    Provide the ability to display the ID of the Suggestion in the forum with the suggestion rather than having to point people to the ID in the URL. This helps when you are working with different systems and want to allow people to link to their ticketing systems where there is not automation.

  3. Email All Users in UserVoice

    Similar to emailing all supporters of an idea, we would like to email all users in UV to ask for more feedback. We know these users have provided feedback before, so we would like to get their input on future roadmap items, and communicate with that group as a whole

  4. Mapping Documentation for feedback from other systems like GetSat, ProductBoard, and Aha!

    Importing from other applications is pretty standard for UserVoice but it would be helpful if we could have a visual or some sort of documentation that explains how feedback is mapped from different systems.

    Hello, thanks for your feedback. When viewing a user in the admin console, you can view their supported ideas and sort the Last Supported column to view the ideas they most recently voted on. Their detail page also features a chronological view of their activity. Each idea they voted/commented on displays the Forum and Category as well.

  6. Advanced filtering should be able to filter on more than one label with AND logic

    I was looking forward to advanced filtering being able to filter on two labels with AND logic. It seems I can still only filter on labels with OR logic.

    Once a label filter is applied, I should be able to apply another one. It seems once it's used once I cannot create another filter for "Label."

    Thanks for your feedback and support of this idea. We have been able to gather perspective on a number of areas in which our filtering experience on the idea grid can be improved. With that said, we could use your help to better understand a couple of things:

    • What filters do you want to be able to see results matching all selected values? (ex: An idea is both red and blue) 
    • Are there any work arounds you use to get this information?

    When syncing accounts from Salesforce to UserVoice, give the option to ignore specific accounts.

  8. Timeline View for Roadmap

    In addition to a status view also have a timeline view. Right now I am using the status as a timeline to achieve the view, but ideally I would not have to sacrifice a status view for a timeline view. Having both views would be ideal. Roadmaps are largely about forecasting time frames for delivery not statuses.

  11. Allow admins to split ideas

    Provide the ability for admins to take an idea that was submitted and split it into two.
    The reason is because sometimes someone posts an idea that consists of two aspects, that to us, are two different ideas. Lets say we already have one feature they ask for but not another, we cannot assign the statuses to the requests properly.
    When splitting, just let us pick what description text and title to put in the new ticket. I realize splitting will cost the voter more votes, but if the workaround to avoid that is let us close one of the…

    Hi All - 


    We're currently working on allowing users to split ideas apart.  This will be useful in several cases:


    (1) A user creates an idea that is really two separate things, and they should be tracked for interest accordingly.


    (2) Your team seeks clarity on a couple of different interpretations of the idea, both of which could be good ideas.


    (3) A partial solution has been completed for the original idea, and you want to close the original idea but continue to track portions of the original request (perhaps that showed up in comments) in a new idea.


    More details to come as this functionality is delivered in the coming weeks.

    I would like an extension for the contributor sidebar so that I can capture feedback on some websites that block bookmarklets; for example twitter, intercom, github, salesforce lightning

  13. Custom data on idea votes and comments

    When a user supports, comments on and creates an idea, Product Managers need the full context on the feedback at that point in time. This can include the device and OS at the time of submission, their product version, the page they were on, screen size or other internal data points, etc.

    This data should be captured and saved against the idea so admins can see, not just who submitted/supported/commented on an idea and their traits (if they're being collected), but also important details surrounding the context of the idea.

  14. Change unsubscribe behavior to apply to specific Ideas

    Right now, when a user unsubscribes from idea notifications, the selection applies globally rather than to just the idea on which they clicked unsubscribe.

    The system should be able to let users unsubscribe from just one idea, without affecting their subscription status on other ideas.

    This behavior differs from the previous experience; however, we have found that the new experience is inline with user's expectations of how this should function.


    When you navigate to a saved view, you're loading a view which has a specific criteria (which may or may not also include search terms). We've found that when users navigate to a saved view, and they manually reload the page, they expect this to act as a reset, clearing out any changes to filters and resetting to the saved configuration.


    When not viewing a saved view (All Ideas), users expected the search terms to persist, which is current behavior.


    Thank you for your idea. We have decided to defer further investigation until more feedback is collected.

  16. Email Subset of Subscribed Voters

    We want to be able to select a particular subset of users when using the "Emailing Subscribed Voters" functionality. Ex: If there are 100 customers who have voted for an idea, we may want to select a subset of 10 to email, but still want that communication to live in UV.

    Hi! Thanks for your interest in this idea. We are currently in the process of looking into this and would love more feedback on the following:


    • For setting default idea statuses - would the default status be across all forums or forum specific? Would you also want to set a default message to subscribed users?
    • For idea thresholds - How would you want to be notified a threshold has been reached on an idea? Which criteria is most important? (votes, comments, importance scores?)
    • Additionally, how would this differ from setting a saved view with advanced filters with vote/comment thresholds?
  18. Ability to set a default status for new suggestions

    Be able to set a "starting" status for new suggestions so that when a suggestion is created it has a status already applied.

  20. Ability to create own reports, flters and dashboards

    Provide the ability for admins to create additional filters, reports and dashboards.

    For example, create a custom filter such as the currently provided 'Customer Activity' option. Eg. Where users > 10 and Votes >= 100

    Similarly, allow the user to create their own dashboards using both OOTB and custom reports.

    It should be possible for privileges to be assigned allowing specified users the ability to create reports, filters and dashboards.

    It should be possible for reports, filters and dashboards to be 'published' so that other users can pick them up.
