  1. Change unsubscribe behavior to apply to specific Ideas

    Right now, when a user unsubscribes from idea notifications, the selection applies globally rather than to just the idea on which they clicked unsubscribe.

    The system should be able to let users unsubscribe from just one idea, without affecting their subscription status on other ideas.

  2. Persist search text in idea title - zendesk widget

    Not sure how much attention you are giving your zendesk widget, but -
    Currently, when you search for a uservoice idea and can't find an appropriate idea, you have the option to click "Create new idea". However, this causes you to lose the text you've typed in the search box. I wish the text you've searched for carried over to the idea title!

    We'll be improving the feedback capture experience in Zendesk and other popular tools as we roll out our new Feedback Capture Chrome Extension in the coming weeks.

  3. Add messaging about the inability to end an idea body with a link in the web portal

    When submitting an idea from the web portal, if the end of the idea body is a link, the idea will not post and there will be an error. My biggest concern is that there is no messaging about this. The user experience takes them to a blank white page instead of a dialogue box that instructs the user to make a correction. The experience looks broken.Ending a comment with a link is pretty common.

    To share a little insight here:  The vast majority of spam we see submitted to UserVoice sites end in a link.  As a quick fix, we blocked postings that ended in a URL but did so without providing an error message.  Much of this spam was submitted by a human being, so failing silently would get rid of the spam without revealing a workaround.


    We're checking to see whether or not this restriction still makes sense or if there are better ways we can mitigate spam without the undesirable result for legitimate end users.

  4. Add custom questions for users to fill out when creating an idea

    When a user goes to create an idea, they only have to give a title. Often Product Teams want to ask their users for additional details and be able to make these fields required.

    This allows Product Managers to get the full details they need from users when they post an idea, and limits them needing to follow up for more information.

    Hey there! 👋

    This week we released Custom Fields on ideas for internal use. This solves a problem for much of the feedback we received on this idea, but not all of it. We will keep this idea open for additional feedback and votes, but for those who were requesting better ways to organize ideas internally, we hope you enjoy our new release!   5. Custom data on idea votes and comments

    When a user supports, comments on and creates an idea, Product Managers need the full context on the feedback at that point in time. This can include the device and OS at the time of submission, their product version, the page they were on, screen size or other internal data points, etc.

    This data should be captured and saved against the idea so admins can see, not just who submitted/supported/commented on an idea and their traits (if they're being collected), but also important details surrounding the context of the idea.

  6. Browser extension for contributor sidebar

    I would like an extension for the contributor sidebar so that I can capture feedback on some websites that block bookmarklets; for example twitter, intercom, github, salesforce lightning
