Customize default category that appears in widget pop up

Is there a way, if not can you add a way, to allow to restrict the default listings of ideas in the widget popup to a "category" within a specif forum? We're trying to have our other sites add the widget to their page, but allow them to specific the default category of ideas which show up. This way it provides ideas that are more relevant to the visitors of that site, which can be used as a hook to get them to submit ideas to other categories they might not have considered...now that they're in the tool.
Thanks

commentedWe have two Categories for two of our products included in one Forum for the purpose of organization of feedback collection. This way, it will be easier for the users to find the right place for sharing their feedback if they are working on the feedback portal; they start from the general topic (Forum) and then select the category (specific product). These two products are closely related so even though we could potentially have two separate Forums, having both under the same forum and separated by only Categories would give the user an easier way of picking the right category.
Now, each of these products have their separate UIs and will use their separate Widget. The limitation on the category selection of Widget is going against having different categories and becoming a showstopper for us in embedding the widget into the UIs of our products.

commentedWe need this right now! :) As it stands, there is no way for the feedback widget workflow to push a user into a correct category. Allowing the user to select from the list of categories produces inconsistent feedback.

commentedI have a client who wants to use categories to separate suggestions on a near per-page basis, This would help tremendously.
