  1. Allow to attach .indd files

    At illustrator.uservoice.com we need to be able to attach many file types for reviewing, including InDesign files in the .indd format. UserVoice, being quite paranoid, refuses to let users to attach these.
    I’d say we also need to be able to share user scripts in .js/jsx format (yeah, security reasons, yada-yada), but sometimes even renaming these into .txt doesn’t help...
    I think UV should be more transparent with allowed formats, rather than allow 'all formats' in the dialog given. Please!

    .indd files can now be attached to UserVoice submissions.


    We pay close attention to the security risks of attaching files through a public channel to protect our systems and our customers. We're always happy to review different file types as they're needed for use, but unfortunately some of them would put our SOC 2 certification at risk... JavaScript files are a good example of this.

  2. allow conversation to continue after idea is resolved (re-open on new comment from users)

    Hey team!

    It's really frustrating to be unable to comment further on a recently closed idea. Sometimes they are closed in error or because of a misunderstanding and you let me write a public comment and then say it can't be saved.

    Better if I could either comment, re-open, or otherwise do something to indicate that I'm not satisfied with the outcome. Otherwise it's not really listening to the voice of the user...

    Thank you for the feedback! This can be achieved by setting your closed statuses to having a user permission of "comment only", which can be found in the public status configurations of settings.

  3. Idea Lists: Support Saved Views/Sticky Columns

    We would like the Idea Lists to save the column configurations. Its a bit tiresome to need to change the columns back on every page refresh.

    This is now complete! After adjusting which columns you wish to show in your Idea List, make sure you click "Save" to maintain your selection.


    Please note that any column changes made to a shared Idea List will reflect for all viewers.

  4. Create an Idea List from an Impact Report

    When I run an impact report by picking an arbitrary list of Ideas from the grid (without creating a list first), I'd like to be able to save those Ideas to a list from the report itself

    We've added multiple ways to create an idea list from your report:


    * Top right under the report quick actions

    * In the metrics section of the report

    * In the Idea and quote slide-out panel

    * Anywhere you might want to take an action on your ideas will prompt you to save your list.

    Thank you for your feedback! We now allow admins with read-only feedback management permissions to create and edit personal idea lists.

    However, if the idea list is shared, they will only be able to view this list and not add or edit the list.

  7. page loading speed is noticeably slow

    The overall page loading speed is noticeably slow, which poses challenges, particularly during times of urgency. Specifically, the Tickets page occasionally encounters timeouts, which has been a source of considerable inconvenience. I would greatly appreciate it if improvements could be made to address these issues.

  8. Immediately focus 'Search labels' input field when assigning a new label

    When I choose to assign a new label while editing an idea in a console, the search field does not get a focus, so I can immediately start typing the name of the label I wan to pick. And since typing is not used for anything else with this dialog displayed, it’s a waste of the modality.

    💫We're thrilled to announce updates to our labeling experience! We prioritized ease of use and to make label application faster. In addition to our coming label recommendations, we hope these productivity enhancements make Idea triage even easier.


    🚀 Here are the improvements we made:

    • We added expand all/collapse all functionality on all label dialogs
    • We made the expanded state the default experience everywhere that labels have already been applied
    • Exposed label settings are accessible everywhere labels can be applied, so that the creation of new labels is always available
    • We unified the label modal across all areas where label application is used
    • The label modal is larger so that longer labels are easier to read and you can see more labels in the window

  9. Give each idea a unique ID and make this obvious

    It would be so useful if every 'idea' had a unique ID so that we could refer to them in other places, point other people to the right one. Only having the textual title to refer to is frustrating.

    The ID of an Idea now appears at the top of the Idea Detail sheet, and you can click the "Copy" icon to get a copy of the direct link to the Idea that you can share with colleagues or bookmark for future reference.

  10. Profile Card with Account Name and Revenue

    Show a profile card when we hover the mouse over the user's name. Show the Email ID, Account Name and Revenue in the Profile Card. It will save us couple of clicks to go to Users/Accounts tab.

  11. Create notification when sharing an Idea List

    When an Idea List, or an Idea List with an Impact Report is shared, there is no notification to the receiving user. I shared an idea list with two people, and they were both confused/said they didn't receive it until going into the portal and reviewing Idea Lists. Some type of alert would be very helpful here.

  13. Allow sharing with "All Admins" on Lists and Views

    Create a way to allow a view or a list to shared with all admins on a UV instance. This would allow a quick way for a view or list to be universal without the need to name each user, or to anticipate future users that would be added as admins.

    You can now share Idea Lists and Grid Views with the entire team of Admins with a single checkbox. Just use the sharing options to use this new feature.

  15. Restore Visibility and Quick Access to the “Moderation” in Grid Layout

    The recent changes of the header in the grid layout can be quite confusing in the beginning since the "moderation" section changed position (very left to the very right behind a drop down), naming (from "moderation" to "activity"). It's much less visible, requires at least an additional click, doesn't show omnipresent red bubble which indicates the number of ideas/comments that are flagged for moderation and doesn't feel like it fits into the information structure. Just not very comprehendible and quite annoying actually. Could you at least bring back the red indicator plus a way to access the section more quickly?…

  16. Option to only show Open Ideas in Smart Search for Contributor Extension

    When the extension completes a smart search, it will search All Ideas instead of just Open Ideas. If you create a search with search parameters, you can then narrow down by Open or All Ideas.

    In an updated published to the Chrome store today, the default behavior of smart search excludes Closed Ideas. You can still associate feedback with a Closed Idea, if desired, by using the search icon and selecting "All Ideas" as a search filter.

    Maximize the space for the text box when creating a status update. It is rather small and needs scrolling for long texts.

  18. Default status update to email subscribers

    Sometime in the last week or so, you rolled out an update to the public status modal. Ever since then, the box to email subscribers about a status change has been disabled by default.

    I would like that to default to being enabled, instead. I've already sent out more than a few status updates trying to communicate w/ a customer not realizing they weren't getting notified about it.

    If you can't enable that by default universally, can you create a setting somewhere so I can choose how I would like this to function?

    We've restored the original behavior in this case. The system will remember the state of whether you have checked the box to email subscribers or not, and use that setting for your next update. This way, you can set your default preference, and that will persist from update to update.

  19. Let me stay on an idea after adding it to a roadmap

    If I open an idea from the idea grid so that it slides out from the side, and then choose to link that idea to a feature, I can click off the idea and return to the grid to continue working. That's great.

    On the other hand, if I use the option "Add Idea to Roadmap", then I can't return to the idea grid. Clicking the back arrow or just clicking off to the side on the idea grid unexpectedly navigates me to the roadmap instead. I have hundreds of ideas to add to various roadmaps and every time I…

  20. stack rank ideas by importance

    Placing a importance high, med, low is great. But too often you get individuals that will rank everthing as "high" to force a priority on their ideas. Ideally it would be great if there was a way for product management to select a set of ideas and ask customers to stack rank them or assess priority of each idea based on a pool of points.

    There are many techniques out there that help support this. For example, instead of stack ranking. Give every voter 100 points and ask them to apply those points to a group of ideas. This could…
