markdown in comments
Would love to see Markdown extended to comment threads. I understand that it's already supported in the main description, but any followup comments (maybe even another user suggesting a different snippet of code) doesn't get the same formatting as a description.

Markdown or GFM are the norm for empowering users to format their comments in a consistent fashion. Not having this available here results in ugly comments when users expect their comments to be rendered a certain way but they get the plain text representation instead.
I'd **love** for this to work _as expected_ :)

I often need to include a code snippet in the comment, today is it not readable.

Oh yes, most definitely... I **love** MD, I write it more naturally than using keyboard shortcuts for "italic", "bold", etc..
