  1. Show link after an Idea created by and admin user or move to edit screen after create.

    When an admin user creates a new idea, after saving the idea the form closes and we have no quick way to get back to the new idea to add tags, internal comments or set internal status. Please either show a confirmation dialog that the idea has been created - with a URL to the new idea, OR update the users screen to be the edit page of the new idea.

  3. Add custom questions for contributors to fill out when creating an idea

    When internal team members create an idea, they only have to give a title. Often Product Teams want to ask their users for additional details and be able to make these fields required.

    This allows Product Managers to get the full details they need from users when they post an idea, and limits them needing to follow up for more information.

    We have completed the first iteration of adding custom questions while gathering feedback.


    You can now have team members using the UserVoice Feedback Extension answer custom questions while creating new Ideas. Read all the details here.


    Questions can be configured alongside Custom Fields for Ideas. We've also overhauled the Custom Fields interface for better clarity and flexibility.


    We're eager to see how you use Custom Questions so that we can extend this feature further! Let us know how it's working for you.


    Of course, we know some people would like to ask questions in the portal and widget, but we want to use this first step to get your feedback.


    If you'd like to add additional feedback about other places to use custom questions, we've split this very large idea and are capturing feedback about the portal and widget on this idea.

  4. Ability to search for Ideas by unique ID number

    each suggestion created in UserVoice gets its unique ID, but it is not a visible and searchable field. We would like to be able to search for ideas by ID number in the admin console

    Thanks for this feedback. 


    This is not the most obvious feature of idea search but we do support it today. Each idea has a unique ID that you can find under the properties section of each idea detail sheet. Searching for this ID directly on the idea grid will lead you directly to that idea. Take a look at the attached images for a specific example.

  5. Show owner of feedback as who shared this on the public site

    When a contributor or any admin enters feedback for a user/customer, the idea displays on the public side as if the idea is owned by that contributor. We need for the idea to show as being owned/entered by the customer who provided the feedback initially. We would prefer to prevent all feedback to appear like it came from the company, or the perception of this. Also, when an idea is being moved to our dev teams, we create a project and list the customer/account who initially submitted the request. This is hard when the idea isn't listed as coming from…

  7. Filter Ideas by number of votes

    I would like to have a filter where I could choose to see Ideas with certain number of votes. For example I want to see only Ideas with 1 vote. I know I can sort Ideas by votes, but with tens of thousands of Ideas in a forum its not very user friendly. Especially if you can see only 20 Ideas per page

    With advanced filtering we've introduced the "# of Total Votes" filter. With this filter, you can identify ideas that meet a vote threshold specified by you in a given time frame. Additionally, you can do the same for comment , importance ratings, and number of accounts supporting an idea.

  8. Publish DMARC for our sending domains

    So our customers can be confident that our emails are not being spoofed, and they can whitelist or domains to ensure deliverability.

  9. Access Saved View and Forum Settings from Secondary Nav

    The Manage Views screen enables me to quickly access Saved View and Forum settings in-line when reviewing your list of Saved Views and Forums.

    With the introductions of the secondary navigation as well as the updated Ideas and Feedback section grouping, in order to get to the Manage Views page, I have to first navigate to the idea grid then go to the settings icon.

  11. Improve your Online Help Function - it's sorely lacking!

    I'm not even sure this is the right area - I couldn't find one relted to Help and Support, so here we are.

    Basically, can you please improve your help articles to include explicit instructions and/or diagrams?
    Simply saying "Click hte icon on the bottom left" is hopeless!! I don't know what Icon you mean! Which screen? Do I even have this icon? What am I looking for? It's a bit like picking up a hire car in an airport carpark and just being told "collect the green one"

    Please make the help files ACTUALLY useful.

    You can now "get help" from within the Admin Console! Simply click the ?icon in the lower-left navigation (above your profile pic), and click 🖱️ "Get Help."


    From there, articles relevant to your place in the app will appear. You can further search to resolve your query, or contact our Support Team!

  12. Allow reporting of Salesforce Connector data with data in idea grid

    Currently, the data from the Salesforce connector can only be analyzed in the Account Insights report, which means you aren't able to use it alongside other data and custom fields in the idea grid view.

    We are now able to surface data from the Salesforce Connector in all areas of our application, including Account Insights and the Idea Grid. We have sent instructions to each of you with information on how to get started. Feel free to reply here for further instructions!

    The Account Name filter is a new filters available to you with advanced filters. This filter allows you to find ideas supported by users belonging to specific accounts.

  14. Allow admins to set the creator on ideas that are captured on a users behalf.

    Allow UserVoice Admins to Submit Ideas on Behalf of a Customer

    It would be very helpful if UserVoice allowed a UV administrator to be able to create a UV suggestion/idea on behalf of a user, as if they submitted it.

    From time to time, it may make more sense for us to go ahead and create a suggestion for the customer versus asking them to do it.

    Currently, UV supports the ability to submit feedback on behalf of a customer, but not the idea itself.

    We have launched a new feature where you can select who is the creator / requestor of an idea when it is submitted by an admin or contributor. In doing so, you can see which end-user originally requested the idea and know who to follow up with as needed.

  15. Default screen for IDEAS & LOGIN to show the ideas, not a dashboard

    When I login as Admin or click on IDEAS tab in Admin Console, I am taken to Insights. This screen is a long, slow loading page full of data and images.

    I would much prefer to view the more functional screen. If I want to view reports, I will view reports.

  16. Improve search menu for Contributor Sidebar to help mitigate against duplicate feedback

    Provide filtering capabilities, like in the admin console, to be able to search for relevant ideas to capture feedback against.

  17. Requirement for data to be stored / hosted in the EU

    Currently we do not have a data center and archetecture to support companies that have made the internal decision to require their data only be stored on a server located in the EU given their interpretation of the regulation.

    We take security and compliance extremely seriously and have taken the measures to ensure we meet all requirements set forth by all key regulatory bodies which includes GDPR (full list can be found at https://uservoice.com/security-compliance).

    We do, however, appreciate some business' adhere to this and are tracking how many companies we are losing potential revenue on to build a case…

  18. Contributor Console: User Name Search

    In the new Contributor Console, I'd like to have the system search and return a list of users when typing in whose idea is this just like other tools SO THAT I don't have to find their exact email address.

  19. Ability to Create a New Feature from Idea View

    Ability to create a feature from an idea. When viewing an idea, I would like to be able to click a button that creates a linked feature, so that I can view the idea while entering the feature name, description and other info. This would also save the 'searching' step to link to the idea to the feature after the fact.

    You can now quickly create a Feature from an Idea!


    From any Idea Detail sheet, click on the "Roadmaps" tab, then use the "+ Add Idea to Roadmap" button to quickly create a new Feature.  We'll copy in the Idea Title and Idea Description for you, and automatically link the idea.  You'll be able to make edits as you see fit as well.


    Let us know if there are any additional improvements we can make!

  20. Ideas created by contributors should be included in "My Activity"

    Ideas that are created by contributors on behalf of other customers should appear in the "My Activity" of the contributor's console. It's a confusing experience for our internal users when they need to find and add feedback to existing ideas they themselves created.

    From the "My Activity" feed of the Contributor console, a contributing team member can see all feedback they've captured, ideas they've created, as well as any votes they may have submitted for existing ideas.
