This improvement would be of great value to our Contributors and encourage their use of the sidebar and console. Since this is not currently available, the Contributor has to enter in the Idea on behalf of the customer then go into the web portal and add a comment with the attachment. This is not a great experience for our Contributors.

This would be a great benefit for consistency - being able to include attachments where ever ideas can be created, not just in select areas. Can add from the web portal, so already open to all who have access to that.

Be able to add an attachment in the Uservoice contributor sidebar.

When we get features through email, a lot of the time pictures or files are included for context. But there's no option to upload a file in the contributor sidebar.

When our customer facing stakeholders capture feedback or create an idea, they want to attach relevant files.

This is relevant for the sidebar + the contributor console.

When capturing feedback from a ticket or other source, I sometimes want to attach a file as well because they user gave feedback in the file (e.g., screenshot or mockup), so that the file can be included when reviewing aggregated feedback on an idea.
