Allow users to add attachments to comments
One user creates an idea and adds an attachment, with a relevant image or document. Admin would like other users to be able to add their own images/files in response to the original idea. Right now there's no way to do that with comments.
Hey everyone! Users can now add attachments to comments. If you have suggestion attachments enabled, users will now be able to add files to comments.
Want to learn more about enabling attachments? Check out our Knowledge Base article here: https://feedback.uservoice.com/admin/v3/suggestions/3014806/

This would be extremely useful for us as we regularly ask users for this kind of information when reporting bugs and not having the functionality is slowing down our ability to act on feedback

Please add this feature.

We frequently ask our users to provide us with more information via screenshots, test files, screencasts, etc. Being able to attach these with comments is immensely valuable to us.

A picture is worth a thousand words. I've worked in SW test for (grumble, mumble) years and an animated .gif is the _easiest, most effective_ way to illustrate a UI issue.
I tried to add an image to a comment in uservoice for Microsoft Teams here:
https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/17996596-fix-copy-paste#comments but was unable to, and trying to explain the "how" of "copy and paste in the middle of a message is difficult" is way harder than just showing someone. -

Please add this. Thanks

For feedback and ideas related to UEX, it is very helpful to be able to share screen shots with clients and have the clients share them back to us.

I am the one who posted an original message.
As I noted, there were some posts, which confirmet this expectation.
But I would like to extend this expectation.
In some comments is written that it should be possible to add a link to a file.
But this is not too effient solution, because in case you have to add several (or more files) then it is difficult to reffer to the right file. Besides it is time consuming proces to make screenshot then memorize it as file (with giving file name) and later adding the right file (where also mistakes can be done).
Much better solution would be giving user possiblility to write the post in HTML format. In this case user could add screenshots or other pictures inside message (directly after making screenshot). In this case he could comment each message right way and could see if the right file was "attached".
There are free softwares available on the market which gives possibility to add to the WEB Page ability to edit post in HTML format. -

Add me to the list. I can't even add a meme to this comment.
Seriously though, this is a big one for our team and the ability for our community to comment to each other's ideas with a screenshots or relevant uploads would help our users help each other.

This feature would be incredibly beneficial.

I continue to be SO stuck without this feature. If nothing else, you should allow an administrator to get behind the scenes and add more attachments to the original suggestion. This is a mess!!!

Same here, we need to respond to people's comments with screenshots, this is really important for us, and was already implemented in getsatisfaction (our last crm)-

2 years and no comments to this.

This is very important for other contributors who are building off an original idea, but have a slightly different use case. A screenshot or example report can make all the difference in the world!

Especially when asking users to clarify their idea, if the original submission didn't include an attach/screenshot, it would be very helpful to let them add it afterwards and/or in the comment thread.

Would be nice to have an option like:
Settings > Feedback Forums > [] Allow end-users to attach files to comments.

Same here: totally crucial for us too..

This is totally crucial for us. I do not understand nobody want this implemented. We talk about issues with customers here and we need screenshots with their comments. They can not upload it to comments. They stop using UserVoice, which will lead also us to leave UserVoice and stop paying.

We also need this feature. We release new products from time to time (cg content: textures, scripts, 3d models) and customers are vote for what they need next and in comments add details and images. Now they should give a link to the image but if they have this image on their drive they have to upload it somewhere else and share a link :(

I second this idea. We just had a suggestion to change the company logo where the director suggested we have people upload ideas to the feedback idea. Unfortunately it doesn't look like we can do this via comments.
