Contributor Console missing Contributor Sidebar capabilities
Contributor console has an option for capturing feedback, which is supposed to be used instead on the classic Contributor sidebar. But the experience is not the same, fields are not the same, and the Private commenting option which was one of the most important features of Contributor sidebar is missing.
Hey all,
Thanks for the feedback and support of this idea.
Upon rollout of the Contributor Console, this feedback helped us identify that we did not make it clear enough that the feedback captured from the Contributor Console is private.
That is, like with the contributor console, feedback associated to ideas on behalf of customers from the Contributor Console is always private.
We are working on a few updates to help make this more clear moving forward.
Thanks again.

This would be particularly helpful in situations where much of the movement across the roadmap is automated as a result of https://soscorp.vn, an integration with another product.

It is mentioned in the comment here that the contributor console input is in fact private - however I just added feedback on behalf of a customer and I see that the customer is automatically subscribed to the idea. In turn, this means that the feedback flow through the contibutor console is not in fact private as it is with the contributor sidebar.
We need the ability to add 100% internal information including linking a user to the idea WITHOUT them being subscribed to the idea.

I would love the role the contributor console out to our field - but as I was updating our documentation for how the field would use it, I noticed several critical features missing that make it a blocker for us. This is one of them

Agreed, private comments are critical so that the contributor can add comments specific to the customer they are recording the request on behalf of. For example, the customer's specific use case, the impact this request would have for their organization, the priority for their organization, etc.
