  1. Filter ideas in the idea grid by custom segments

    The ability to filter ideas based on custom segments created in UserVoice (i.e. viewing ideas submitted by a user in a specific country). Labels won't work since they need to be applied manually.

    There is now an advanced filter available to limit the grid by custom segment values. Creating new custom segments will allow you to use custom fields (and combinations of them) as a filter on the grid.

  2. Automate Idea Status Once Approved

    Ideas to automatically go into the external status of "new feedback" once the idea has been approved in the approval queue.

    You can now set a default status (both public and internal) for newly created ideas.


    If you're using a moderation queue, the statuses will be automatically applied on creation.

    Visit the settings for custom public and internal statuses (available on the UserVoice Discovery Pro and Premium Plans) to select which of your statuses you'd like to be applied to new ideas.

  3. When a user attaches a .AI Illustrator file, UV often refuses to attach one, and then displays it as a .PDF file type instead

    In illustrator.uservoice.com sharing a .ai file is a common thing. But there a problems with uploading and downloading these.
    In comments it works fine, but on a report/request creation it often fails and then lies about the file type. Is this a UV-only bug, or a general behaviour? What can be done about this?

  5. End users to view ideas and votes from their company

    Customers are asking for the ability to view all ideas and votes tied to their account because they will have multiple users who post to UserVoice without the others knowing.

    If they can see what’s coming out of their organization, they can coordinate better amongst themselves and produce better quality suggestions.

    Also they fear that someone within their organization might unknowingly post something sensitive about their company.

    🎉 We’re excited to share that end users can now view all ideas and votes tied to their company account — this feature is officially live!


    To try it out: Go to the Settings page in the web portal. At the top, you’ll see a new toggle that lets users switch between viewing their own feedback and their entire account’s feedback.


    This update makes it easier for teams to stay aligned, avoid duplicate or sensitive submissions, and collaborate more effectively.

  6. Show link after an Idea created by and admin user or move to edit screen after create.

    When an admin user creates a new idea, after saving the idea the form closes and we have no quick way to get back to the new idea to add tags, internal comments or set internal status. Please either show a confirmation dialog that the idea has been created - with a URL to the new idea, OR update the users screen to be the edit page of the new idea.

  7. Ability to export report reflective of filters applied

    Customer would like to see the ability to export idea report that is reflective of their filtered view, instead of seeing all the information/columns that is available. It's good to see all information but in some cases they would like to see an export of what they have filtered out. For example, they would like to see an exported report that just has summary of idea, idea content, number of voters and creation date/last update only.

    Please add a "copy idea link" button to the Admin Console, just like the smartlink you have in the Contributor Console and Sidebar.

    You are now able to copy the link to an Idea directly from the Idea Grid or from the Idea Details sheet when looking at a single Idea. On the grid, hover your mouse over the Idea Title and click the copy icon. On the Idea Details sheet, click the Share Icon and choose whether you want to copy a link to the admin view of the Idea or the web portal view of the Idea.

  11. Different SSO providers visible for admin sign-on and end user sign-on

    Display employee SSO on /admin and only show end user SSO on the Web Portal.

    SSO providers can now be marked as only visible on Portal pages (suitable for end users) or Admin logins (suitable for UserVoice admins). Visit the SSO settings page, and click on the options desired for each of the different SSO providers that you have configured.

  12. Show owner of feedback as who shared this on the public site

    When a contributor or any admin enters feedback for a user/customer, the idea displays on the public side as if the idea is owned by that contributor. We need for the idea to show as being owned/entered by the customer who provided the feedback initially. We would prefer to prevent all feedback to appear like it came from the company, or the perception of this. Also, when an idea is being moved to our dev teams, we create a project and list the customer/account who initially submitted the request. This is hard when the idea isn't listed as coming from…

  13. Improve your Online Help Function - it's sorely lacking!

    I'm not even sure this is the right area - I couldn't find one relted to Help and Support, so here we are.

    Basically, can you please improve your help articles to include explicit instructions and/or diagrams?
    Simply saying "Click hte icon on the bottom left" is hopeless!! I don't know what Icon you mean! Which screen? Do I even have this icon? What am I looking for? It's a bit like picking up a hire car in an airport carpark and just being told "collect the green one"

    Please make the help files ACTUALLY useful.

    You can now "get help" from within the Admin Console! Simply click the ?icon in the lower-left navigation (above your profile pic), and click 🖱️ "Get Help."


    From there, articles relevant to your place in the app will appear. You can further search to resolve your query, or contact our Support Team!

  14. Add 'remember me' to the new email auth sign in dialogue

    Add 'remember me' to the new email auth sign in dialogue so that you can opt for longer sessions when you're on a trusted device.

    “Remember Me” functionality is now in production – look for the checkbox underneath the email field, and you’ll need to log in a lot less frequently. Thanks for your patience with this!

  15. Drop the New Passwordless Email-Based Login System

    The new passwordless login mechanism (magic.link) takes up to 30 seconds to use. Our organization uses Office 365 and the email login links take 20-30 seconds to appear in our inboxes. Please offer a traditional password-based login mechanism.

    We have replaced Magic Link with a custom confirmation/forgot password flow and the emails follow the same pattern as other UserVoice emails. We hope this eliminates confusion and simplifies understanding.

  17. Do not require sign-in on Contact widget

    With the release of Magic Auth, legacy Contact mode for the the UV widget now requires email authentication before a ticket can be opened. This is not a good experience.

  18. Ability to search for Ideas by unique ID number

    each suggestion created in UserVoice gets its unique ID, but it is not a visible and searchable field. We would like to be able to search for ideas by ID number in the admin console

    Thanks for this feedback. 


    This is not the most obvious feature of idea search but we do support it today. Each idea has a unique ID that you can find under the properties section of each idea detail sheet. Searching for this ID directly on the idea grid will lead you directly to that idea. Take a look at the attached images for a specific example.

  20. FRs by Account in Table Format and/or Export

    I'd like to easily review all Feature Requests that match a customer or keyword (eg.. company name) in a simple and easy to review table; as opposed to the blog view we can see in the activity dashboard search results today. I'd also like the ability to easily export that table of data into a CSV/XLS

    You can use Advanced Filters to accomplish this on the grid. Select the account or accounts you'd like, and then you're able to sort or further filter the Idea Grid as you'd like, and export the results.
