This week we released Custom Fields on ideas for internal use. This solves a problem for much of the feedback we received on this idea, but not all of it. We will keep this idea open for additional feedback and votes, but for those who were requesting better ways to organize ideas internally, we hope you enjoy our new release! When viewing an idea you would be able to see say 15 Mac users, 10 Windows users, 5 Android users and 8 iOS users requested this idea. This would give you more information on seeing what types of users want a particular idea.

Sometimes the status of an idea changes. For example, the PM team might have started work on a new feature, but then put it back in the backlog and the status is changed from "started" to "planned."
Since users can review the history of an idea on the web portal it could look to them like the product is going backwards and erode confidence.
Admins would like the ability to remove the status history from being accessible users or erase a previous status.
(Note: on the latest version of UserVoice you can edit the status message, but you can't edit or remove the actual status)

If you are adding a suggestion from the admin console, or linking a ticket to an idea, it would be nice if you had the option to set the idea creator as well.
Right now, it will use the admin, which makes it look like it was the admin's idea, and doesn't give the user credit for their idea.

1. User has more than one email address, but in UserVoice, you can only have 1 email per user.
2. So if the user uses a different email address, it doesn't pull in their tickets, ideas, votes they created with their other email.
3. This makes it hard for agents to get a clear view of the user, their history etc...

You can delete or block a user, but sometimes admins need to do something as simple as edit a user's username in UserVoice. The user can do this, but that requires extra steps for them, and it would helpful for admins and users if admins could simply do it for them.

You have an article with the title "Show current tasks."
User searches "Show existing tasks."
Right now search would not match current to existing, even though they are synonyms. This requires the admin to add multiple keywords to the article title and body.
It would be helpful and ensure users found all matching articles if the search feature found synonyms of words in the search phrase.

Being able to customize the design and position of things like buttons, text, and colors, would be great, so admins can bring the design more inline with their site or optimize it for their users.

Right now you can import ideas, and even the users who created the ideas, but there's no way to import comments. However, comments are part of the discussion, and you need to be able to add them too.
Be able to pin specific comments on ideas for other end users to see, to highlight a preferred answer or comment. This is especially helpful if an admin leaves a comment and you want it to show at the top for users viewing the idea.
