Ability to restrict Admins & Contributors to specific forums
More granular settings for admins/contributors, allowing admin/contributor permissions based upon forum.

I would like more granular permissions, including the ability to allow users to Add Voters, enter private comments, maybe even edit titles, and various other things, but I would not necessarily want them to be able to change status. It seems odd that Limited accounts as of today can create new ideas, but not add voters to existing ideas.

Limit which forums Contributors can post to, and set their permission for forums by team. Currently Contributors can post ideas to any open forum on an account.

So they can only see/manage/respond to ideas in the forum that they are assigned to/responsible for.

Hi, thanks for looking at this request. However I think our request was about letting different admins to access different forums rather than limited tasks but on ALL forums. Is that something being planned as well?

Has this been scheduled or already in progress? This feature makes our day-to-day job a lot easier. it'd be appreciated to have this done. Thank you!

We use Uservoice to gather feedback for our internal apps. We have a different forum for each app. Admins for one app, do not care or need to see suggestions for a different forum. They opt out of notifications for all forums so they end up not using uservoice. That leaves me in a position where I have to manage all forums and then report to each group on their forum, creating more work for me.
Without any apparent progress or feeback on this topic, I'm ready to start looking for an alternative.

Hi!
Have you already scheduled this upgrade? I would like to know when it will be avalilable, as it is critical for us.
Kind regards

if you use uservoice for civic engagement granularity is a must :)

Some companies are handling tickets for customers from competing businesses. It's important than agents handling tickets for company A not see the tickets submitted by competing company B.

This would be really useful as we need to create forums about different issues. There is specific people who is going to manage each forum, as they are experts in each issue. We need taht they cannot access to the forums that are managed by other people. Indeed, they should be agents that manage one or more forums and only administrators be able to full access to the admin console.
Kind regards

I think that it would we very useful. Joshua Rudd posted over one year ago that Uservoice is working in a solution, but I would like to know when it will be avalilable.

I agree that it'd be incredibly useful to restrict users to specific tasks. Just tickets assigned (through filters) to them; specific forum(s); certain Help Desk topics.

This would be really helpful...the sooner the better.

Just adding 1 more voice for having more than just all or nothing for admins - and admins that can only see specific forums

Yeah, it would be really helpfull if I could restrict the access. The best solution from my point of view would be a administrator-account + a agent-account (which has only access to certain forums and tickets without any ability to change the layout, rules etc.).

I love this idea and would find it very useful.

I 100% agree. Not every admin should have access to every forum, especially when it comes to email notifications. Every admin in our company gets every new idea email whether it is in the forum they use or not.

We'd like to use this product for different areas within our organization. However having to make any moderator a moderator on the whole thing is really a deal breaker.

At very least maybe just allow admins to only receive notifications for actions taken on a specific forum.
