You can now toggle on/off the Importance Scale feature per forum. Head to General Settings > Ideas > Forums > Edit Forum. Thanks for the feedback!

I don't like how customers can set importance without voting for the idea. It doesn't give us a clear picture when comparing the number of votes to how important the idea is.
I'd like the option to turn it off or have more customization such as:
- have it only appear if the customer votes for the idea
- edit the labels
- possibly add more labels -

We would also like to be able to turn this off, or at least be able to edit the labels.
