  1. Update Description verbiage in contributor console to indicate that the idea description will be public

    In the Contributor tools, the Description header says "Description (optional)". We would love to have this indicate that this field is public similar to the feedback section indication that that section is private.

  2. importance rating - ability to edit labels

    We've gotten feedback from our users that they don't like the 'not at all important' choice. All of their suggestions are important. We would prefer to call it 'Nice to Have'. Thanks!

    We've recently made a series of improvements to our Importance Rating feature, including customizing the importance rating labels!🚀

    You can now also:

    • Sort the Idea Grid by average importance rating
    • Enable/disable importance ratings per forum
    • View importance rating information from the Idea Grid exports
    • View importance rating responses per user and account
  3. When a user attaches a .AI Illustrator file, UV often refuses to attach one, and then displays it as a .PDF file type instead

    In illustrator.uservoice.com sharing a .ai file is a common thing. But there a problems with uploading and downloading these.
    In comments it works fine, but on a report/request creation it often fails and then lies about the file type. Is this a UV-only bug, or a general behaviour? What can be done about this?

  4. Lock icon on webportal for private forums

    As an admin, I just want some confidence that the portals that are marked as ‘hidden’ are actually hidden – I can’t visually tell right now on the homepage.

    On the web portal home page, admins will now be able to easily see which forums are private. Private forums now include a lock icon that differentiates them from public forums.

  5. Wider search bar for the admin console idea grid

    It would be more convenient to have the search field wider or just bigger, where the text can be easily edited being fully visible. This might optimize the process of searching for an idea to merge into.

    You can now hide columns (statuses) on the internal roadmap within your own personal view. Check out the attached image for reference.

  7. Convert Idea to a Feature

    It would be helpful if there was a quick way to convert an "Idea" into a "Feature" from the individual idea screen. We want to eliminate the manual steps of creating the feature separately and then linking an idea after the fact, it would be much faster for us to create "Features" directly from the idea level - or to put ideas directly onto the roadmap

    Hello!


    UserVoice admins now have the ability to receive an email update whenever a contributor flags an idea as important.


    From your admin console, go to General Setting > Communication Preferences > My email subscriptions > Activity Updates. 


    There will be a new activity update for you to subscribe to called, Ideas Flagged as Important.

  9. I want be able to click a 'add feedback' button from the idea I currently have open.

    It would be much easier to find my idea first by searching in the table. Then being about to click an "add new feedback" button from inside the idea card. Currently it is very annoying to have to click the add button from the side bar and have to re-enter all the same information.

    Hey there! We have a few quick ways to add feedback to an existing idea. If you don't want to use the Add button in the site navigation, you can add feedback to an idea directly from the idea detail page. Search for an idea > open it > top right corner click Options > Select Add Voter.

  10. Supress cookie errors in Chrome

    A cookie associated with a cross-site resource at http://SUBDOMAIN.uservoice.com/ was set without the "SameSite" attribute. A future release of Chrome will only deliver cookies with cross-site requests if they are set with'SameSite=None' and 'Secure'.

  11. Automate Idea Status Once Approved

    Ideas to automatically go into the external status of "new feedback" once the idea has been approved in the approval queue.

    You can now set a default status (both public and internal) for newly created ideas.


    If you're using a moderation queue, the statuses will be automatically applied on creation.

    Visit the settings for custom public and internal statuses (available on the UserVoice Discovery Pro and Premium Plans) to select which of your statuses you'd like to be applied to new ideas.

  12. Do not require sign-in on Contact widget

    With the release of Magic Auth, legacy Contact mode for the the UV widget now requires email authentication before a ticket can be opened. This is not a good experience.

  13. Ability to export report reflective of filters applied

    Customer would like to see the ability to export idea report that is reflective of their filtered view, instead of seeing all the information/columns that is available. It's good to see all information but in some cases they would like to see an export of what they have filtered out. For example, they would like to see an exported report that just has summary of idea, idea content, number of voters and creation date/last update only.

  15. Remove flags from flagged ideas when they are no longer needed.

    Hi there,

    The new ability for users capturing Feedback to flag an idea as important is awesome! It would be great if we could extend this functionality in a couple of ways:

    1. Add ability for admin users to remove flags once they have served their purpose.
    2. Add the ability for admin users to set this flag on ideas already submitted for internal communication processes.

    Hello!

    A couple weeks back we introduced a feature called “Clear Flag” that allows users to remove a flag from an idea when it is no longer needed. This new feature is easily found when reviewing notes left on any flagged ideas.

    Additionally, this idea had two separate and very good ideas that we have not yet built features for: allowing admins to flag ideas from the admin console and allowing admins to get notified via email when an idea has been flagged as important.

  16. Add 'remember me' to the new email auth sign in dialogue

    Add 'remember me' to the new email auth sign in dialogue so that you can opt for longer sessions when you're on a trusted device.

    “Remember Me” functionality is now in production – look for the checkbox underneath the email field, and you’ll need to log in a lot less frequently. Thanks for your patience with this!

    You are now able to copy the link to an Idea directly from the Idea Grid or from the Idea Details sheet when looking at a single Idea. On the grid, hover your mouse over the Idea Title and click the copy icon. On the Idea Details sheet, click the Share Icon and choose whether you want to copy a link to the admin view of the Idea or the web portal view of the Idea.

  18. Show link after an Idea created by and admin user or move to edit screen after create.

    When an admin user creates a new idea, after saving the idea the form closes and we have no quick way to get back to the new idea to add tags, internal comments or set internal status. Please either show a confirmation dialog that the idea has been created - with a URL to the new idea, OR update the users screen to be the edit page of the new idea.

  20. Add custom questions for contributors to fill out when creating an idea

    When internal team members create an idea, they only have to give a title. Often Product Teams want to ask their users for additional details and be able to make these fields required.

    This allows Product Managers to get the full details they need from users when they post an idea, and limits them needing to follow up for more information.

    We have completed the first iteration of adding custom questions while gathering feedback.


    You can now have team members using the UserVoice Feedback Extension answer custom questions while creating new Ideas. Read all the details here.


    Questions can be configured alongside Custom Fields for Ideas. We've also overhauled the Custom Fields interface for better clarity and flexibility.


    We're eager to see how you use Custom Questions so that we can extend this feature further! Let us know how it's working for you.


    Of course, we know some people would like to ask questions in the portal and widget, but we want to use this first step to get your feedback.


    If you'd like to add additional feedback about other places to use custom questions, we've split this very large idea and are capturing feedback about the portal and widget on this idea.
