Add screen shot to idea from clipboard
I really need/want and easy way to add images (screen shots) from clipboard (like e.g. Target Process does it e.g. on their help desk) - a small picture often says more that 140 characters ... and more clearly
It is really no different that attaching an image files, just a lot less clicking and tying
We have consolidated a number of ideas related to this topic and are investigating how to (securely) bring this feature to life

Many other feedback services and applications allow to paste images directly from the clipboard into the form.
Github Issue, Slack, Telegram, Discord (basically every messenger now), Obsidina.md forums (basically any of the forums now)...This greatly diminishes the effort a user have to make to report anything. Saving a screenshot as a file (which a user actually does not need), uploading it (even with a drag-n-drop) is slow.

This one seems very much like another idea to 'Add ability to add clipboard screenshots to Post New Idea'. Perhaps they are different, so voting and commenting on both...
While we have the ability to add attachments to ideas, replies, etc., actually being able to add and view images within the text is, like the original idea creator said, pretty much unacceptable in this day and age. If users have to click into another screen and then open attachments, they just aren't going to do it and they aren't going to get the point of the screenshot. If they see the screenshot as they are reading... then they are getting the point. Please reconsider this deferred idea - even though the votes aren't the highest , it is highly likely to help a large majority of User Voice customers!

This would be a great addition in all areas of UserVoice - new ideas as well as in responding to clients through emails, or posting status update comments.
Clicking into an attachment to see something is not convenient or fluent in most use cases. Seeing that attachment right within the text you're reading is much more convenient, for end-users, as well as for us in responding to the client requests. In cases we're doing a 'Try This Instead' and explaining details on how to do something, screenshots you can see while you're reading are significantly more effective than attachments, which they actually have to click into the idea to access. -

As a software developer, screenshots are crucial for users to communicate issues and suggestions to us. We need this functionality when a user is posting a new idea . Previous UserVoice efforts to obtain screenshots were complex and riddled with issues.
I have a better idea. Rather than trying to snip a screenshot, why not allow the user to simply paste an image that is already present in their clipboard? The user can use the Windows Snipping Tool (or any other screen capture tool) to capture the image, and easily paste the clipboard image in the browser/uservoice. This is an elegant & simple solution can be accomplished with a few lines of javascript, and the work has already been done for you. Simply copy and paste the code on the link below and you make the world a better place.

This would be great in Comments and Status updates as well. I often like to include an image when announcing a suggestion is complete, or include a mock-up to get more clarification on what folks are looking for.

I think the way User Voice accomplished this in the past (the now discontinued contact widget) may have created issues in certain environments as this is riddled with security concerns and complexity, which may be the reason there is little appetite to continue to support this.

It is very difficult to locate screengrabs in the old search method because they are typically an in-descriptive format (usually based on the time the capture was taken). Drag and drop of the known file that just appeared on the desktop would be a much better user experience.

Add drag-n-drop support for image/attachments to the UserVoice widget.
Currently drag and dropping an image into the "Post an Idea" attachment area results in the browser or application loading the image. The panel should interpret dropped content as attachments to prevent applications relying on this panel experience to be in unusable states.

It would be nice to be able to add images to both the ideas and the comments, status updates, etc. in line. Visuals are worth so much when discussing ideas in depth and a huge part of managing feedback is clarity of the conversation. It's really frustrating to have to go post that image on a hosted site and link to it. Pretty much unacceptable in this day and age, in fact.

IS there any way to add screenshots to Ideas?
