We have consolidated a number of ideas related to this topic and are investigating how to (securely) bring this feature to life
An error occurred while saving the comment Toni commentedThis one seems very much like another idea to 'Add ability to add clipboard screenshots to Post New Idea'. Perhaps they are different, so voting and commenting on both...
While we have the ability to add attachments to ideas, replies, etc., actually being able to add and view images within the text is, like the original idea creator said, pretty much unacceptable in this day and age. If users have to click into another screen and then open attachments, they just aren't going to do it and they aren't going to get the point of the screenshot. If they see the screenshot as they are reading... then they are getting the point. Please reconsider this deferred idea - even though the votes aren't the highest , it is highly likely to help a large majority of User Voice customers!
An error occurred while saving the comment Toni commentedThis would be a great addition in all areas of UserVoice - new ideas as well as in responding to clients through emails, or posting status update comments.
Clicking into an attachment to see something is not convenient or fluent in most use cases. Seeing that attachment right within the text you're reading is much more convenient, for end-users, as well as for us in responding to the client requests. In cases we're doing a 'Try This Instead' and explaining details on how to do something, screenshots you can see while you're reading are significantly more effective than attachments, which they actually have to click into the idea to access.Toni supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Toni commentedThis is a constant pain point for us. We are manually copying the users reply into the UV Idea as internal comments so that we have the information right on the idea instead of lost in our email inbox. Please consider this change!

An error occurred while saving the comment Toni commentedThis would be really really helpful and I would think lots of companies would benefit from this. We are going through the process of manually communicating ideas in mass to our clients to work around this. Extra time, effort and communications outside of UV. It would be nice to have an option as an admin to email users who have voted or entered ideas BY FORUM, and pick and choose some updates to send them. Top ideas maybe. Hot ideas maybe. Certain ideas we pick and choose maybe (our favorites that we know clients would vote for if they took the time to look through them.)
I can so relate to clients... they have ideas... they have thoughts... but don't take the time to come out and start looking around themselves. I am guilty of it myself when it comes to UV. 'I'll look for that later', then don't make the time. If we could put it in front of them and it had links to the items, it would make it super easy for them to give their feedback.

We have many many clients asking for a way to get a monthly email (or an email every x weeks, etc) that shows them collective activity on the ideas they support. They are already subscribed to receive updates specifically on ideas and status changes, etc, but they want a regular communication where they can see activity on their ideas at a glance. This might mean one forum, or it might mean 5 forums. Ideally they would have a preference where they could choose to see updates send every x days, weeks, months... kinda like recurring outlook options... Then they would be able to choose which forums, and what activity they want to see. This will help all end-users of User Voice!!!!
