  1. Contributor Console Not Appearing in "Activity by Source" Report

    When feedback is captured via Contributor Console, it is not currently showing up in the Activity by Source pie chart. It would be beneficial because the team only uses Console to capture Contributor Feedback, and we would like to easily see how much feedback is being captured in that channel

  2. Report for Ideas Lifecycle

    They are looking for a report that tracks the concept of ideas submitted vs completed ideas. He wants a report that can illustrate lifecycle of ideas as they progress through stages (statuses) from new idea to completed. He described 2 benefits from this report. One, the ability to better understand their product development process (to see which stages ideas are getting stuck in, and why). Two, to illustrate to leadership the overall impact of UV (we have collected X amount of ideas which have become Y amount of new features)

    We just launched an update to the Status Update section of the Activity Report. We’re now showing how many times ideas were marked as a certain status within a designated time period as well as the customer reach of every update. Check out the attached image!

  3. Ability to export the "insights" data (ideas that need tidying up, most chatty, trending)

    I like the insights table but I really want to be able to export the table data for my peers and managers. For example, the ideas that need tidying up, the ideas "most chatty" and trending ideas. I can't share this information otherwise.

    Idea Insights has gotten a refresh. In addition to a visual update, you can now:


    • Navigate from each section of the report to the grid with the same Ideas listed, so that you can operate on them in bulk or review them with complete context
    • By following the link to the grid, you can now export the complete lists.
    • Change the time frame for the both the top and bottom sections of the report
    • The report is now responsive, so it will stack vertically on smaller screen sizes


    We hope this makes Idea Insights even more useful and actionable for you!

  4. Include Attachments on Internal Notes

    Currently attachments can be added to Status Updates as well as comments, we would like the ability to include attachments for internal notes. Sample Use Case: when drafting a mock-up of something such as a UI change that is not yet ready for public feedback, but should have eyes on it by other members of the Product Management or Development Staff.

    Yesterday we introduced “Internal Comments” on ideas to replace Notes. Don’t worry, we’ve kept all your previously created notes. They are now called internal comments.

    Unlike notes, internal comments support attachments.

    Also exciting about internal comments is that you now have the ability to mention other admins directly on ideas.

    Here’s what you can expect.

    @mention other UserVoice admins on internal comments

    Reply to internal comments in threads

    Email and in-app notifications when you’ve been mentioned on a UserVoice idea.

    Email and in-app notifications when there is new activity on an internal comment thread that you’ve participated in.

  5. Filter by Negative Criteria

    Provide the ability to filter by ideas that do not have a particular label or outside of a certain date range, or not a particular category.

    Advanced filtering allows you to narrow your list of ideas based on negative logic criteria. For example, you can now filter for ideas that do not have a specific label(s), not supported by a specified account(s), don't have specified statuses, or for ideas that are not in a specific idea category.

  6. Don't send notifications to all Slack channels configured when feedback is created (that is not attached to an idea)

    Right now, when the Slack integration is configured, any feedback that is created and not attached to an idea will notify all Channels connected to UserVoice.

    We’ve improved our Slack integration so that un-linked feedback is now only sent to channels that receive events from all forums and categories.

    Respect Line Breaks in Internal Notes.

    Internal notes styling should respect line breaks like comments do. When leaving notes for internal members, it can difficult to understand the message being conveyed because it's all smushed together in one block.

  8. Allow admins to favorite or bookmark specific ideas so that they can quickly refer back to them later

    Allow admins to create a list of favorite or bookmarked ideas that they can easily refer back to instead of having to search through all ideas. Filtered views are good but sometimes an admin wants to keep an eye on a handful of ideas across multiple different categories/labels so it would be really helpful to be able to favorite or bookmark ideas to access quickly.

    Using our new list feature, you can quickly create a curated list of ideas to refer and collaborate with your colleagues. Simply use our quick action menu to create a list of ideas! Thanks for your feedback!

  9. Specify Applicable Forums when Creating Labels

    Add functionality to enable a definition of Labels on a Forum by Forum basis. When creating a new Label you would specify to which Forum or Forums this Label is to be made available to. The new Label would only appear and be available for use within those Forums. There would also be functionality to link existing Labels to Forums (it is noted that some data cleansing may be required to ensure data integrity). There is currently an issue in that Labels are created that are relevant to limited Forums, but they appear Everywhere. This clutters lists and results in…

    You can now specify labels per forum!


    If you check out the label management page, you can now select which Forums a label should be available for. In the user interface, only labels that are available for the Forum an Idea is in will be presented as available options.


    This also applies to AI Label Recommendations... we'll only recommend labels appropriate for the Forum where an Idea lives.


    We hope this makes label application easier and cleaner, so that different teams managing different forums will be able to use Labels how they like.

    These currently have a random alpha-numeric pattern, e.g. omail-tTyIRW4hbiepjxTf1+edjc9s@feedback-poweredby.uservoice.com

    These should be nicer looking or allow the use of custom email addresses.

  12. Admin invitations should redirect to /admin/signin

    When admins accept invitations, they are redirected to the end-user sign-in on the web portal.

    In some cases, admins aren't able to sign-in with SSO while end users can.

    If the account has the site restricted to SSO authentication, the admins won't be able to authenticate accept the invitation

    We updated our admin sign-up process so admins are now directed to the admin console after creating a login.

  13. Custom time period filter for Activity reports

    Time period filter should be customizable. Not just 30/90/365 days. We need to choose 1. and last day of a month when doing monthly reports otherwise its useless for us :(
    The idea is good and we like it but we don't always have a time to check the Activity at the beginning of the month to see the last 30 days

  14. Idea Insights lists (trending ideas, inactive ideas, etc) on a dedicated page

    Each of the lists of ideas (trending, this just in, Inactive, etc) on the Idea Insights tab should be scannable in more than just the widget on that tab.

    This would help users take more actions in the context of each of those list of ideas. For example, bulk delete of "inactive ideas" or bulk status updates on ideas with no status in a while.

  16. Provide web portal URLs for UserVoice items in Slack

    UserVoice items (ideas, feedback, comments) sent to Slack via the integration link back to the admin console.

    Some use cases have non-admins clicking these links in Slack, but they are unable to access the admin console links.

    Thanks for this early feedback.

    Now, users without access to the UserVoice admin console will be directed to the web portal view of an idea when attempting to access that idea from a Slack channel.

    UserVoice admins will still be directed to that idea in the admin console as they are today.

  17. Choose what data is included in the exports

    Need an easy export based on the filter and columns I might have selected in the suggestion view. Currently I get an export which is a full set of columns that are useless.

    This is a big one! You can now select which columns of data you would like to include in your exports on the idea table. Check out this video here. You'll notice the column header titles look a little different - we updated how we reference certain column headers to reduce any potential confusion. We haven't changed the way any data is structured or calculated. Excited to hear your feedback!

  19. Allow users to allocate priority across their already supported ideas

    For example, each user gets 100 "feedbucks" (still working on that term) that are by default evenly distributed across all their already voted on suggestions. User can then adjust their points to highlight certain suggestions with a higher priority.

    So I could vote up 50 ideas, and my $100 would by default be split to $2 per idea. If I vote for another idea, the split would be cut down to ~$1.96 per idea, but could at any time redistribute my $100 according to priority. No limits to votes, but secondary metric to allow me to communicate priority.

    Thanks for the this feedback and continued support of this idea. 


    Two weeks back we introduced a new feature to the web portal that allows users to convey an importance rating to ideas when providing feedback. If you haven't seen it just yet, head to UserVoice at your first convenience. We've been getting very helpful feedback since release and will continue to be looking for ways to improve this feature for our customers.
