  1. Be able to pass user/account traits via the API

    Right now, you have to use the javascript code to pass user/account traits. It would be great if there was a way to also do this via the API. This would give admins more options for passing this data.

    The frequency of our new digest email can be adjusted by visiting Settings > Email Subscriptions > Insights — you can choose, Daily, Weekly, or Monthly as options.

  3. Advanced filtering should be able to filter on more than one label with AND logic

    I was looking forward to advanced filtering being able to filter on two labels with AND logic. It seems I can still only filter on labels with OR logic.

    Once a label filter is applied, I should be able to apply another one. It seems once it's used once I cannot create another filter for "Label."

    • Is any of
    • Is none of
    • Is all of


    "Is all of" is the new option meant to address this use case.

  4. Filter and display ideas with specific activity during a time range

    When looking at ideas, it would be good to choose a date range, and have the displayed ideas filter to show only those that had activity in that range.

    Last week we released an update to our admin console Idea Grid. One of the new features you have available to you is the ability to track new ideas, new votes, new comments, and new importance ratings per idea for a specific time frame. We've defaulted the idea grid to 30 days to make it easier for you to see these insights when first coming to the grid. This feature isn't supported for "All Time" but you can use our predefined 30, 90, and 365 day options to see this activity. This feature is also supported when using our Custom Date Range builder. Check it out!

    Hi everyone!

    We have added this functionality to the product. You can now follow up 1:1 with the user who creates an idea, comments on it or who had a request captured by a contributor.

    When the user replies, their reply will be captured within UserVoice as well, so you can keep the conversation within UserVoice.

  6. Flag/highlight ideas that may need to be merged

    New ideas come in all the time, and it can be hard to go and check them all for ideas that need to be merged. Adding a report that highlights or flags ideas that might be duplicates (so admins can double check) would help keep these duplicate ideas from slipping through the cracks.

    Last week we released Merge Matches! 🚀 Merge Matches is a new way to automatically identify which ideas are similar to one another, giving you the option to merge them together to help reduce the number of duplicate ideas. You can access this feature directly from the Idea Grid.

  7. Ability to set a default status for new suggestions

    Be able to set a "starting" status for new suggestions so that when a suggestion is created it has a status already applied.

    Great news!  You can now set a default status (both public and internal) for newly created ideas.


    Visit the settings for custom public and internal statuses (available on the UserVoice Discovery Pro and Premium Plans) to select which of your statuses you'd like to be applied to new ideas.

  8. Remove flags from flagged ideas when they are no longer needed.

    Hi there,

    The new ability for users capturing Feedback to flag an idea as important is awesome! It would be great if we could extend this functionality in a couple of ways:

    1. Add ability for admin users to remove flags once they have served their purpose.
    2. Add the ability for admin users to set this flag on ideas already submitted for internal communication processes.

    Hello!

    A couple weeks back we introduced a feature called “Clear Flag” that allows users to remove a flag from an idea when it is no longer needed. This new feature is easily found when reviewing notes left on any flagged ideas.

    Additionally, this idea had two separate and very good ideas that we have not yet built features for: allowing admins to flag ideas from the admin console and allowing admins to get notified via email when an idea has been flagged as important.

  10. In System Admin view, allow users to filter or search by voter or submitter user account

    We are often trying to locate a full list of all the items that a user has voted or submitted. The view in the user management console is very cumbersome, so we would like to be able to filter in the idea management view by user.

    I wanted to follow up with everyone regarding this idea. Thank you so much for the feedback!

    We have made multiple updates to the user’s page when it comes to viewing a user’s profile and quickly seeing their activity and a list of the ideas they support.

    You can now toggle on/off the Importance Scale feature per forum. Head to General Settings > Ideas > Forums > Edit Forum. Thanks for the feedback!

  12. Filter should have 'and' logic as default

    To reduce the number ideas filtered by search, the keywords should be applied with 'and' logic by default.

    At the moment, the number of findings increases if you add more key words.

    But to make UserVoice a success, it's important to reduce the number of findings to come out with max 10-20 search results to allow the user to find already existing ones for voting instead of entering a new one.
    If the search result exceeds 20+, it would be to time consuming for checking all the results and as result, UserVoice would end-up with redundant requests (idea) as in…

    While we don't support 'and' logic to filter keyword search results by default, we do provide search operators that can be used to further refine the results of your keyword searches. Take a look at this resource to learn more.  

  13. Merge ideas from different forums

    The merge feature is restricted to one forum.
    Is it possible to allow merges of ideas from different forums?
    The actual merge tab could display a new filter with all the forums for example.

  14. Filter Ideas by number of votes

    I would like to have a filter where I could choose to see Ideas with certain number of votes. For example I want to see only Ideas with 1 vote. I know I can sort Ideas by votes, but with tens of thousands of Ideas in a forum its not very user friendly. Especially if you can see only 20 Ideas per page

    With advanced filtering we've introduced the "# of Total Votes" filter. With this filter, you can identify ideas that meet a vote threshold specified by you in a given time frame. Additionally, you can do the same for comment , importance ratings, and number of accounts supporting an idea.

  17. Remember email selection when doing a merge/updating status/etc

    Remember the previously selected email address for the reply to on status updates and merge notifications. This way I don't have to manually choose or enter an email address every time.

    Greetings from UserVoice,

    We’ve released a feature that should improve your experience when setting reply-to email addresses on plublic status updates and suggestion merges.

    Now, when you select a reply-to email address for public status updates and suggestion merges, we will remember that address the next time you perform one of those actions. This eliminates you having to set that address every time.

  18. Display an account’s feedback in contributor sidebar

    When using the contributor sidebar, be able to pull up an account's supported suggestions, not just a user's.

    UserVoice has several new export options to help you better analyze feedback and users.

    - You can now export a list of users almost anywhere in UserVoice – the main users list, users supporting a suggestion, or in an account. The export includes all the information that we have about the user, including their custom fields, accounts, and location.

    - For custom analysis of trends and user segments, try the new ‘enhanced analysis’ option for suggestion exports. This export includes the selected suggestions along with all their supporting users, accounts, location, and traits. Use the export in any tool like Excel, PowerBI, or Tableau to slice, dice, and graph.   20. Voter demographics (who is voting?)

    Some customers are bigger revenue-drivers for us. Consequently their feedback is more valuable to us. It should be possible to organize customers into voting classes or groups, so that, for example, "Revenue 500" customers' votes carry more weight when the votes are counted. The weight factor should only be visisible to UserVoice administrators of course.
