For now, this is not functionality we will be implementing.
There are two primary reasons for this:
- When someone provides feedback, it’s in the best interest of the company to whom they provided it to follow up, either with status information or to ask for further detail about the problem to be solved or implementation specifics. Without knowing who to contact, product teams are left making assumptions about intent and solution, and often this can lead to a misfire.
- Perhaps more importantly, without knowing who provided the feedback, product teams are left without context – is the feedback coming from a current customer? A prospect? What role do they fill and what are the jobs they’re trying to complete?
I do want to acknowledge that there is some value in feedback no matter whether it’s got attribution or not, so this is a decision we may re-visit in the future.…
An error occurred while saving the comment Hi Matt, agree on your points above in the context of companies building solutions for B2C companies, but not for those building B2B solutions. In this case:
- There is often not 1 person providing the feedback - it is a team of people
- Feedback may be provided by the account team e.g. a Technical Account Manager or Customer Success Executive rather than the customer directly and it is this person we need to engage with to retrieve more details but we need the account details to be able to determine things like Reach
- Individuals at a customer may change or not be willing to share their personal detailsFrom a B2B point of view it would be great to be able to capture ideas associated with an account rather than an individual at an account (https://feedback.uservoice.com/forums/1-general-feedback/suggestions/35923810-capture-ideas-on-behalf-of-an-account).

An error occurred while saving the comment This sounds interesting - if you ask most customers what things they'd like to improve in your product they will come up with a long list. It is really important to understand which of these are the most important to help you prioritise which things to work on. If we had a way of capturing this in User Voice and ideally letting the customer see this and amend this that would make a lot of sense.

An error occurred while saving the comment Allow accounts to be added as voters to ideas without the need to specify an individual employee.
Contacts at accounts frequently change or need to be modified and in some cases (like ours) we don't tend to auto subscribe contacts to idea updates and so we'd like to be able to add accounts directly rather than individual contacts.

Hi Everyone,
We have reviewed this idea, and it’s not something we plan to implement. Even though we are deferring this idea for now, it is still open to votes and comments.
One thing that may be valuable as well, we did recently release attachments on comments. End users can now include attachments when posting comments.

Hi All -
We're currently working on allowing users to split ideas apart. This will be useful in several cases:
(1) A user creates an idea that is really two separate things, and they should be tracked for interest accordingly.
(2) Your team seeks clarity on a couple of different interpretations of the idea, both of which could be good ideas.
(3) A partial solution has been completed for the original idea, and you want to close the original idea but continue to track portions of the original request (perhaps that showed up in comments) in a new idea.
More details to come as this functionality is delivered in the coming weeks.

This week we released Custom Fields on ideas for internal use. This solves a problem for much of the feedback we received on this idea, but not all of it. We will keep this idea open for additional feedback and votes, but for those who were requesting better ways to organize ideas internally, we hope you enjoy our new release! An error occurred while saving the comment There are numerous roles in a business who are associated with a specific set of accounts, e.g. customer success, sales, technical account managers etc and so being able to go to a single place to see activity/ideas/etc for a specific set of accounts is essential.

Thanks for your feedback and support of this idea. We have been able to gather perspective on a number of areas in which our filtering experience on the idea grid can be improved. With that said, we could use your help to better understand a couple of things:
- What filters do you want to be able to see results matching all selected values? (ex: An idea is both red and blue)
- Are there any work arounds you use to get this information?

An error occurred while saving the comment This is critical for large organisations. One of your competitors handles this by adding a drop down box at the top of the label selection to allow you to choose from "Any of selected", "All selected" or "None of selected" which does exactly what we need.

Similarly if I go to an Account in Account Explorer I can see the related ideas but can't click on them.
