  1. Support DKIM aligned email communications

All outgoing emails are signed with uservoice.com's DKIM keys. It would be great if admins had the option to sign out going emails with their own DKIM keys.

You can now configure DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) within UserVoice! DKIM is an authentication protocol used by mail clients to determine whether an email originated from the domain specified. This prevents spammers from wrongfully acting as the identity of a system that they do not belong to. In short, it helps prevent spammers from impersonating you and helps improve deliverability of legitimate emails. Learn how to set up DKIM in UserVoice by accessing the article below.

  2. Allow admins to select which forums they receive activity notifications for

Each forum is intended for a certain product which has it's own product manager. These managers would like notifications any time a new idea is posted in that forum versus other forums.

  3. Filter feedback by user segments

Allow filtering suggestions and related suggestion metrics (like # of supporters and comments) by supporter traits, to help find out which feedback has come from specific user segments and measure interest from those segments.

You can now analyze feedback by customer segment and identify each segment’s top needs, all within the UserVoice admin console.

Create custom segments based on the user and account traits that you pass into UserVoice; for example, user type, MRR, company size, or industry. You can also create segments by country, even if you are not passing traits into UserVoice.

Please leave us feedback and let us know how this works for you!

Note: You will need to be on one of our current plans that includes this feature. If you’re on a legacy plan or are not sure if your plan includes this, email support@uservoice.com with your account name to learn more.

  4. Support Password Management Utilities

With the new UserVoice login screen, a regression was introduced where password management tools (such as the Mac OS X keychain) can no longer be used to automatically fill in the username and password.

Due to past identify theft issues, I now have a different, random, 20-character password for every single website on the Internet, so allowing the Keychain to automatically fill in password forms is a huge benefit to me since I can't remember any of the 513 passwords stored in my Keychain!

    Greetings from UserVoice,

Wanted to make sure all supporters of this idea know that we now have this feature available.

From the user detail sheet of a non-licensed user admins now have the ability to delete that user.

    Thanks,

  6. Convert a comment to a new idea

Sometimes a user will make a great suggestion as a comment on another suggestion. Often the original suggestion inspired the second which would be why it's in the wrong place.

I'd like an option added to the actions on comments to be able to turn them into suggestions

    Hey again,

Find our new UserVoice connector in the Microsoft AppSource or directly within the app studio in Microsoft Teams. This connector is built specifically to connect your UserVoice account to Microsoft Teams.

Here are a couple resources to help you get familiar with the new connector.

    Great news! 🎉

You can now manually order Forums and Categories. To update these settings click on the Cog Icon > General Settings > Ideas > Forums and drag forums into a desired order.

Categories can be ordered by clicking on the category count and dragging and dropping the categories into the desired order.

This will affect all locations where forums and categories are displayed as options, including the Portal, Chrome Extension, and in the admin interface.

We've also overhauled the entire Forum/Category setup experience for easier management.

Thanks as always for your feedback!

  9. Send auto-reply email to users who submit feedback (email receipts)

Add option to give users automatic email notifications when they submit a new idea through Uservoice's feedback tool. Basically just a "thank you" message that users receive automatically after they send in an idea.

Uservoice's Helpdesk tool offers it, we'd like to see it added to feedback.

We're excited to announce that this feature is live! You can now create an email that will automatically be sent to your users after they submit an idea. This is a great way to communicate to your users that you have received their ideas as well as set up any expectations for how you triage and manage their feedback. Go to General Settings and select Auto-reply Emails (/admin/settings/forum_autoreplies) to get started.

  10. Be able to use Service Hooks with a specific Forum or category

For example, right now with the Slack integration, you have to push all ideas across all Forums. It would be great if you could choose a specific forum or category when using Service Hooks to push data.

    Hello everyone!

We are happy to announce that we have implemented a feature to allow custom service hooks to push from a specific forum.

More information about custom service hooks can be found here: https://feedback.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/49266-setup-custom-web-service-hooks

We haven’t implemented a feature to use service hooks with a specific category within a forum, which some of you have asked for in this suggestion.

We want to capture some more feedback for this use-case, so if you want to be able to use a specific category with service hooks, please leave us some more feedback on this idea: https://feedback.uservoice.com/admin/v3/suggestions/38317960/

UserVoice has completed changes necessary to provide tooling for GDPR compliance. We will continually update our compliance information on our website ( https://www.uservoice.com/gdpr-compliance/ ). There, you can find information about API endpoints to exercise Data Subject rights, our pre-signed DPA, and information about where we will collect consent.

A detailed email will be sent to current UserVoice Account Owners. As always, we’re interested in additional feedback, and you’re welcome to provide it in this forum.

  12. Allow users to search AND sort/filter ideas on the web portal

On the front end, you can search by keyword, but you can't sort the ideas by new or hot or top. You also can't narrow your search by category.

You can sort ideas by new, hot or top, but if you try and view ideas by categories or status, it ignores the sort option.

  15. Allow admins to split ideas

Provide the ability for admins to take an idea that was submitted and split it into two.
The reason is because sometimes someone posts an idea that consists of two aspects, that to us, are two different ideas. Lets say we already have one feature they ask for but not another, we cannot assign the statuses to the requests properly.
When splitting, just let us pick what description text and title to put in the new ticket. I realize splitting will cost the voter more votes, but if the workaround to avoid that is let us close one of the…

    👋🏻 Hi Everyone -

You can now split ideas in the UserVoice admin interface.  From any idea detail sheet, click the 3 dot menu at the upper right and select "Split Idea."  You can also split an idea from the activity feed.

We'll create a new idea for you (you can edit the title and description of the idea) and bring over the supporters from the existing idea along with the other relevant fields.

    This is really useful for:

    • Taking a large idea and breaking it apart so that you can track 2 ideas separately
    • If you've partially completed an open idea, create a new idea with the remaining work and close the original idea.  This will let you know if the remaining functionality is nice to have or truly necessary.

As always, let us know if you need a hand with anything!

  16. End users to view ideas and votes from their company

Customers are asking for the ability to view all ideas and votes tied to their account because they will have multiple users who post to UserVoice without the others knowing.

If they can see what’s coming out of their organization, they can coordinate better amongst themselves and produce better quality suggestions.

Also they fear that someone within their organization might unknowingly post something sensitive about their company.

🎉 We’re excited to share that end users can now view all ideas and votes tied to their company account — this feature is officially live!

To try it out: Go to the Settings page in the web portal. At the top, you’ll see a new toggle that lets users switch between viewing their own feedback and their entire account’s feedback.

This update makes it easier for teams to stay aligned, avoid duplicate or sensitive submissions, and collaborate more effectively.

Thanks for your input and patience — we hope you find this update helpful.

  17. Export users associated with votes/ideas

Yes, you can now export at the user level as well as the idea level and forum level... but what we need is a way to get an export of the ideas/votes along with WHO voted for them or created the idea.

So I want to either be able to see the folks who created the idea and voted on it when I export the ideas, or when I export the users, be able to see what they suggested or voted on.

Right now there is NO WAY that I can see to associate these (other than going into each…

This is a big one! You can now select which columns of data you would like to include in your exports on the idea table. Check out this video here. You'll notice the column header titles look a little different - we updated how we reference certain column headers to reduce any potential confusion. We haven't changed the way any data is structured or calculated. Excited to hear your feedback!

You can now delete NPS testing records, negating them from your NPS analytics!

This can be achieved with our Admin API. First, find the IDs of the scores you want to delete using the LIST endpoint: https://developer.uservoice.com/docs/api/v2/reference/#operation/ListNpsRatings

Then, use either the bulk endpoint to delete many, or the singular endpoint to delete an individual score.

    - Bulk: https://developer.uservoice.com/docs/api/v2/reference/#operation/BulkDeleteNpsRatings
    - Singular: https://developer.uservoice.com/docs/api/v2/reference/#operation/DeleteNpsRatings

For more information, visit our Admin API Reference: https://developer.uservoice.com/docs/api/v2/reference/#tag/nps_ratings (click ‘Contact Support’ in the lower-right of the developer site if you have questions).

  20. Respect Search Operators (And, Or, Quotes, + and -)

It's very frustrating to put in two search words and have ideas come up with only one of the terms before ideas that have both terms.

For example, if I searched for "Morning Commute" I'll get results that only have "Morning" before results that have both "Morning" and "Commute". Or if I want to find only "Evening Commute" results, I'd like to be able to exclude results that have the word "Morning".

This is a large problem when many of our ideas involve phrases where one word is extremely common, and the other word is used in multiple concepts. Being…

    Hey there,

We’ve recently made some improvement to search in our admin console to enable operators.

    Here’s what that looks like…

Using the plus ( + ) sign enables AND.

The vertical bar ( | ) enables OR.

Using the minus ( – ) sign enables you to exclude terms.

Using quotes ( "" ) enables exact phrase matching.

    Happy Searching!!
