Be able to set a customized message on the Private Forum invite email as the default. Be able to change the welcome message in the private forum invitation process to be the same custom message each time so it doesn't have to be copy and pasted each time if you use the same one every time.

Go to edit mode when entering an idea When bringing up an idea in the admin console, have it already be editable so that there are not more clicks required.
2 votesHi Everyone,
We have reviewed this idea, and it’s not something we plan to implement. Even though we are deferring this idea for now, it is still open to votes and comments. We do want to hear your opinion. Thank you for the feedback, and please, keep sharing!

Customize branding per forum Different forums can represent different products or product groups. Admins want to be able to quickly and easily customize the look and feel of each forum, including the logo, images, and design.
Right now, this can only be accomplished with significant custom design. It would be ideal if there were features for easily managing this in UserVoice.

Automatically analyze incoming feedback and link to existing ideas Automatically analyze text on incoming feedback and link it to existing ideas. This will allow teams to handle higher volumes of feedback, and discern signal from noise.

Pin ideas on the forums Admins want to be able to pin or start specific ideas on the forum, so when users visit the web portal, they will see those ideas at the top of the forum. This lets them highlight ideas they want to collect feedback on or call out recently completed ideas they want users to see.

Access private forums via link Instead of sending a separate url to each person for a private forum, send out a single url that allows anyone with that link to access the private forum.

Hi everyone!
Our Product Team reviewed this idea, and discussed internally.
We built the “My Feedback” section in settings to list ideas a user has supported either by leaving a comment or casting a vote.
While we can definitely understanding users wanting to see ideas they created, but no longer support, this is not a use case we designed this part of the application for.
We do have supporter mode now for our product forums, which does let users support as many ideas as they want. To learn more about why we recommend switching to supporters vs. voting limits, please, check out our best practice article: https://feedback.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/782139

Allow multiple categories per idea sometimes user ideas overlap with different categories.

Allow users to recommend which ideas should be merged together On our board there are many duplicate ideas suggested. We have an admin who can manually merge them, but users don't know that and frequently simply leave comments on the new idea saying "vote here instead!" Allowing users to flag a possible dupe (ideally with a link) would bring them to our admins attention and reduce the duplication of effort.

Customizable list of words to ignore to improve search results I've been usability testing a test version of our UserVoice forums before they go live. Our users frequently use the product name as they are describing an issue (e.g., "Please do [some change] to [product]"). Because the idea filtering is based on an OR list of words, as soon as users type "[product]" 2 things happen:
The website speed crawls to a standstill, making it hard for them to continue typing and increasing their frustration.
A huge list of ideas appear that are no longer of any help whatsoever to them when looking for similar ideas.

Nested categories and sub-categories Currently we can only list one level of categories in feedback forums, which causes some confusion for our users, for example we have five categories for our Content Management System. Users prefer to have "Content Management System" at the top level then drill down to specific request i.e. "Content Management System --> Postings"
Thanks.

Allow profanity filter list to be customized / edited The profanity list is too sensitive and we'd like to 'allow' certain words currently banned. For example, the word ****** is currently blocked, but that is the name of a company relevant to my client's company, so people will often use it perfectly appropriately.
(The above may get moderated so what I'm talking about is http://bit.ly/wrpoSi for example)

Allow customization of text on portal site/forums Not everyone wants to use words like "Contact Us", "Knowledgebase", or "Feedback" on their UserVoice site - allow customizations of at leas the major titles and buttons on user-facing portal pages.

Pre-moderation for Ideas, Post-moderation for comments It would be great to be able to use pre-moderation for new ideas and post-moderation for comments. This would allow us to maintain a high forum quality without limiting the natural forum dynamics. In pre-moderation, allow editing comments before accepting them (just like with the new ideas)

Allow admins to split ideas Provide the ability for admins to take an idea that was submitted and split it into two.
The reason is because sometimes someone posts an idea that consists of two aspects, that to us, are two different ideas. Lets say we already have one feature they ask for but not another, we cannot assign the statuses to the requests properly.
When splitting, just let us pick what description text and title to put in the new ticket. I realize splitting will cost the voter more votes, but if the workaround to avoid that is let us close one of the…56 votesHi All -
We're currently working on allowing users to split ideas apart. This will be useful in several cases:
(1) A user creates an idea that is really two separate things, and they should be tracked for interest accordingly.
(2) Your team seeks clarity on a couple of different interpretations of the idea, both of which could be good ideas.
(3) A partial solution has been completed for the original idea, and you want to close the original idea but continue to track portions of the original request (perhaps that showed up in comments) in a new idea.
More details to come as this functionality is delivered in the coming weeks.

Manually order a forum category positions When creating categories for a forum, I want to be able to manually set the order of the categories, so that more important ones can be listed first.
