    Especially once they've moved to the "under review" or "planned" statuses - need an easier way to make sure there's follow up on these things.

  2. Moderation settings should be applied at the forum level

    I love the addition of moderation to Uservoice...if you have multiple forums, you may need different moderation needs per forum, so I think they should be applied at the forum level and not at the total accout level

  3. Allow users to recommend which ideas should be merged together

    On our board there are many duplicate ideas suggested. We have an admin who can manually merge them, but users don't know that and frequently simply leave comments on the new idea saying "vote here instead!" Allowing users to flag a possible dupe (ideally with a link) would bring them to our admins attention and reduce the duplication of effort.

  4. Convert a comment to a new idea

    Sometimes a user will make a great suggestion as a comment on another suggestion. Often the original suggestion inspired the second which would be why it's in the wrong place.

    I'd like an option added to the actions on comments to be able to turn them into suggestions

  5. Custom data on ideas

    When a user supports, comments on and creates an idea, Product Managers need the full context on the feedback at that point in time. This can include the device and OS at the time of submission, their product version, the page they were on, screen size or other internal data points, etc.

    This data should be captured and saved against the idea so admins can see, not just who submitted/supported/commented on an idea and their traits (if they're being collected), but also important details surrounding the context of the idea.

  6. Allow users to search AND sort/filter ideas on the web portal

    On the front end, you can search by keyword, but you can't sort the ideas by new or hot or top. You also can't narrow your search by category.

    You can sort ideas by new, hot or top, but if you try and view ideas by categories or status, it ignores the sort option.

    On the feedback webportal, users can now filter ideas by both category and status while also filtering on ‘my feedback’ or sorting by hot, top or new.

  7. Pin ideas on the forums

    Admins want to be able to pin or start specific ideas on the forum, so when users visit the web portal, they will see those ideas at the top of the forum. This lets them highlight ideas they want to collect feedback on or call out recently completed ideas they want users to see.

  8. Allow users to allocate priority across their already supported ideas

    For example, each user gets 100 "feedbucks" (still working on that term) that are by default evenly distributed across all their already voted on suggestions. User can then adjust their points to highlight certain suggestions with a higher priority.

    So I could vote up 50 ideas, and my $100 would by default be split to $2 per idea. If I vote for another idea, the split would be cut down to ~$1.96 per idea, but could at any time redistribute my $100 according to priority. No limits to votes, but secondary metric to allow me to communicate priority.

    We’d be interested to hear what other ideas people have for expressing priority?

    I certainly think this would be a valuable data point, especially when trying to assess criticality of the feedback (toward something like renewal or closing a deal). UserVoice already supports the notion of a “blocker,” but only a binary option for internally captured feedback.

    Would a 1-5 scale work? Something in words? Interested in gathering ideas so that we can explore testing those.

  9. Add custom questions for users to fill out when creating an idea

    When a user goes to create an idea, they only have to give a title. Often Product Teams want to ask their users for additional details and be able to make these fields required.

    This allows Product Managers to get the full details they need from users when they post an idea, and limits them needing to follow up for more information.

    Hi – we have spent time investigating this and talking with many of you, and have decided to defer from building this for the time being. In our conversations with customers, we came across many different use-cases for custom fields and think we could potentially provide better, native support for some of the common use-cases like “priority” or “impact” rather than attempting to solve several problems with this one feature. We may revisit this idea after providing out-of-box support for the most common use cases.

  10. Nested categories and sub-categories

    Currently we can only list one level of categories in feedback forums, which causes some confusion for our users, for example we have five categories for our Content Management System. Users prefer to have "Content Management System" at the top level then drill down to specific request i.e. "Content Management System --> Postings"

  11. Allow admins to split ideas

    Provide the ability for admins to take an idea that was submitted and split it into two.
    The reason is because sometimes someone posts an idea that consists of two aspects, that to us, are two different ideas. Lets say we already have one feature they ask for but not another, we cannot assign the statuses to the requests properly.
    When splitting, just let us pick what description text and title to put in the new ticket. I realize splitting will cost the voter more votes, but if the workaround to avoid that is let us close one of the…

  13. Pre-moderation for Ideas, Post-moderation for comments

    It would be great to be able to use pre-moderation for new ideas and post-moderation for comments. This would allow us to maintain a high forum quality without limiting the natural forum dynamics. In pre-moderation, allow editing comments before accepting them (just like with the new ideas)

  14. Customizable list of words to ignore to improve search results

    I've been usability testing a test version of our UserVoice forums before they go live. Our users frequently use the product name as they are describing an issue (e.g., "Please do [some change] to [product]"). Because the idea filtering is based on an OR list of words, as soon as users type "[product]" 2 things happen:


    1. The website speed crawls to a standstill, making it hard for them to continue typing and increasing their frustration.


    2. A huge list of ideas appear that are no longer of any help whatsoever to them when looking for similar ideas.

  15. Allow customization of text on portal site/forums

    Not everyone wants to use words like "Contact Us", "Knowledgebase", or "Feedback" on their UserVoice site - allow customizations of at leas the major titles and buttons on user-facing portal pages.

  17. Be able to mention/tag other admins and contributors

    It would be nice to be able to tag/@mention your fellow team members when discussing both specific Features and Suggestions. These comments should be 'internal' comments/discussions/mentions and should not be a 'published' comment.

  18. Partial single word search results should show results

    When searching for part of a single word, return search results that would auto-complete that word.

    Example: Searching "auto" should find ideas with "autocomplete" in the title.

  19. Manually order a forum category positions

    When creating categories for a forum, I want to be able to manually set the order of the categories, so that more important ones can be listed first.

  20. Allow comments to be voted on

    I've been loving the user feedback mechanism for Adobe XD. One challenge though-- the ideas can be voted up, but the comments can't. They really try to avoid having redundant ideas, but often some of the comments will explain a nuance that really should get traction, but can get lost down in the conversation thread. It would be great if we could also vote on the comments. Maybe it wouldn't change the order because you still want the conversation thread to make sense, but just to see that other people agree with a comment would be helpful.
