  1. Integrate with Call Recording / Transcription Software to allow feedback to be captured

    With the rise of Call Recording and Call Transcription Software like Otter (used by Zoom), Gong.io and Chorus.ai Uservoice should be able to integrate with these platforms which could allow users to say a key phrase like "thats a great suggestion, let me take a note" which would trigger the feedback to be noted.

    Because services like these transcribe calls, the transcription could provide context for the Admin to make the next appropriate actions (Create a new idea, add to existing, etc).

  4. When a user attaches a .AI Illustrator file, UV often refuses to attach one, and then displays it as a .PDF file type instead

    In illustrator.uservoice.com sharing a .ai file is a common thing. But there a problems with uploading and downloading these.
    In comments it works fine, but on a report/request creation it often fails and then lies about the file type. Is this a UV-only bug, or a general behaviour? What can be done about this?

    Hi – we have spent time investigating this and talking with many of you, and have decided to defer from building this for the time being. In our conversations with customers, we came across many different use-cases for custom fields and think we could potentially provide better, native support for some of the common use-cases like “priority” or “impact” rather than attempting to solve several problems with this one feature. We may revisit this idea after providing out-of-box support for the most common use cases.

  8. Allow profanity filter list to be customized / edited

    The profanity list is too sensitive and we'd like to 'allow' certain words currently banned. For example, the word ****** is currently blocked, but that is the name of a company relevant to my client's company, so people will often use it perfectly appropriately.

    Would love to see Markdown extended to comment threads. I understand that it's already supported in the main description, but any followup comments (maybe even another user suggesting a different snippet of code) doesn't get the same formatting as a description.

  12. Show more salesforce opportunity information in UserVoice.

    we would like to see more information within the UserVoice suggestion, including which opportunity the idea came from, breakdown of individual potential contract values, and the ability to segment this information by company type, geographical location, etc. the way we can for the Salesforce user and account traits that we pass through our custom API integration.

  13. Idea details - Ability to set a default for comment type (Public/Internal)

    Idea details view (NEW)
    - Default the radio option of a comment based on the tab selected.
    For example - if you click on Internal Comments, the radio option for the comment should default to 'Internal' whereas currently this defaults to Public regardless of the tab you select.
    Confusing and risky for users when trying to post commentary that should only be for Admins

  15. Add custom User & Accounts fields to the NPS export

    You can pass in custom fields for user and accounts, but when exporting NPS ratings, only standard User and Account fields are included. It would be ideal for the custom user and account fields to also be included.

    We are now using Revenue instead of MRR in the application. This allows you to pass the unit of measurement for accounts that bests fits your business needs when it comes to evaluating ideas.

    Thanks for the feedback on this idea! We do not have plans to expand support for revenue on the user level and are continuing to improve the usefulness of revenue data on the account level in UserVoice.

  18. Include user sentiment in the activity report

    It would be nice to be able to see a snapshot of a custom timeframe for user sentiment around status updates that were made across the whole site, versus a specific forum/idea - including the thumbs up/down, any subsequent votes/comments made after the status, the percentage of emails opened/clicked/responded.

    This could give us a more holistic look into how users approach our overall brand/product on top of the more granular look we get per each post.

    Example, living in the Status Updates section of the Activity Report:

    During x timeframe -
    70 Statuses Updated
    994 Users Emailed
    29% opened, 14%…

  20. Kanban board view for end-users' submissions

    It would be fantastic if UserVoice introduced a Kanban board view option for the end user-facing (i.e. non-admin) feedback list. Board columns could represent each status. Thanks for listening!
